Isaiah Collier played 28 minutes in Saturday’s win over Dallas, amassing 12 points (5-of-13 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), two rebounds, seven assists, two steals, one block, and one 3-pointer.
With Keyonte George sitting out the Las Vegas games after shining in Salt Lake City to begin the week, Collier moved into the starting point guard role. While he did not shoot the ball as well as he’s capable of, the former USC guard got his teammates into spots where they could flourish. Collier’s seven assists were countered by just one turnover, an impressive ratio for the rookie guard. He’ll continue to take on most of the point guard responsibilities, and thus far, Collier has looked like a steal for the Jazz.
