Tyler Kolek finished Saturday’s 94-90 loss to the Knicks with seven points (2-of-6 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.
Making his Knicks summer debut, Kolek rolled sevens on Saturday afternoon. The shooting may not have been impressive, but he was effective as a rebounder and distributor. The former Marquette point guard has been lauded for his efficiency, and zero turnovers countered his seven assists. The presence of Jalen Brunson makes Kolek’s chances of making waves in fantasy basketball slim. However, he plays the game in a way that should get him into Tom Thibodeau’s rotation coming off the bench.
  • MIL Point Guard

AJ Johnson (left Achilles tendinitis) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against Charlotte.
The rookie has barely seen the floor this year, so his absence won’t impact the team’s rotation.
  • MIL Shooting Guard #13
Ryan Rollins (left shoulder dislocation) is listed as probable for Saturday’s game against the Hornets.
There were fears that Rollins could undergo surgery on his shoulder that would’ve ended his season, but apparently that wasn’t the route the team went. Rollins should be back on Saturday after a five-game absence, though he won’t be much of a factor in fantasy with Damian Lillard healthy.
  • MIL Power Forward #34
Giannis Antetokounmpo (right patella tendinitis) is probable for Saturday’s game against Charlotte.
Despite it being the second night of a back-to-back, this knee issue still won’t keep Giannis out of the lineup. He’ll look to put up more dominant numbers after finishing with a 37-point triple-double on Friday night.
  • CHI Power Forward #21
Adama Sanogo (right knee effusion) will remain sidelined for Saturday’s game against Memphis.
Sanogo isn’t a big part of the team’s rotation when healthy, so this won’t impact fantasy basketball.
  • CHI Power Forward #7
Jalen Smith (left ankle sprain) and Julian Phillips (upper respiratory illness) are questionable to play against Memphis on Saturday.
Both players played small roles off the bench in their last game, and their potential absences would open up extra minutes for Matas Buzelis and Torrey Craig. However, in standard leagues, neither player will be worth streaming.
  • SAS Power Forward #1
Victor Wembanyama (right knee contusion) has been upgraded to probable for Saturday’s game against Golden State.
Wemby has missed the Spurs’ last three games, but he is expected to be back in the lineup against the Warriors. That will return Zach Collins to his usual role off the bench, while Charles Bassey will likely be pushed out of the main rotation.
  • CLE Power Forward #32
Caris LeVert (left knee inflammation) and Dean Wade (left ankle sprain) did not practice on Saturday.
Both players have missed the team’s last two games, and their absence from practice doesn’t bode well for their chance of playing on Sunday against the Raptors. Sam Merrill and Isaac Okoro practiced and both will see extra minutes if they play and LeVert and Wade remain out.
  • CLE Shooting Guard #35
Isaac Okoro (left ankle strain) and Sam Merrill (left ankle) practiced fully on Saturday.
Merrill missed Cleveland’s last game, while Okoro has missed the last two. However, practicing on Saturday gives them a good chance if playing against Toronto on Sunday. If that happens, Ty Jerome, Jaylon Tyson and Craig Porter Jr. will play significantly smaller roles.
  • SAS Shooting Guard #24
Devin Vassell (left knee soreness) is expected to miss Saturday’s game against Golden State.
An MRI indicated that Vassell has a knee contusion that is similar to Victor Wembanyama’s, so there is chance that Vassell remains out for another game after this one. Malaki Branham should continue to play extra minutes off the bench, but he isn’t worth streaming.
  • MIA Small Forward #22
Jimmy Butler (illness) and Dru Smith (right knee bone bruise) missed practice on Saturday.
Smith played 25 minutes off the bench in their last game, so if both Butler and Smith both can’t suit up, there will be plenty of minutes to go around. Depending on the status of Terry Rozier and Jaime Jaquez Jr., Alec Burks and Josh Richardson could play large roles in this game.
