Dalton Knecht led the Lakers with 20 points (7-of-18 FGs), nine rebounds, one assist and two triples in an 80-76 loss to Miami on Wednesday.
Knecht really struggled with his shot during his first two Summer League appearances, and while this wasn’t an outstanding performance for him, it was certainly a step up after he shot 6-of-25 on Saturday and Sunday. Knecht was an elite shooter in college, so he shouldn’t have any issues eventually figuring that out. For fantasy managers, the nine rebounds are far more intriguing. If he is able to do more than shoot and score for the Lakers, Knecht may be able to provide some fantasy value in year one.

Alex Ducas is planning to sign with the Brisbane Bullets.
Ducas appeared in 21 games on a two-way deal with the Thunder last season after going undrafted. It’s only a one-year deal with Brisbane, so he could make a return to the NBA after that.
Magic's bolstered roster could clear 51.5 wins
Vaughn Dalzell and Trysta Krick dive into the Orlando Magic's roster acquisitions and the various futures to consider, highlighted by the win total (51.5).
  • FA Small Forward #18
David Jones-Garcia led the Spurs with 25 points (9-of-14 FGs), six rebounds, five assists and three three-pointers in an 89-88 loss to the Lakers on Tuesday.
After going undrafted in 2024, Jones-Garcia spent last season in the G League. He spent some time on different two-way deals, but he is currently without a contract. With the way he has played, it would be shocking if he didn’t enter the season with one, even if it’s a two-way. Jones-Garcia was named to the All-California Class Team with some dominant performances that will hopefully carry over to Las Vegas.
  • SAS Small Forward
Carter Bryant finished with nine points (2-of-8 FGs), three rebounds, two blocks and two three-pointers against the Lakers on Tuesday.
Bryant’s offensive performance so far in Summer League hasn’t been great, but that was to be expected. He has upside, but he isn’t a complete offensive player at this point. However, he was able to play high level defense, which is what made him a lottery pick. The defense will get him on the floor during his rookie season, but the offense is what you should be keeping an eye on in Las Vegas.
  • FA Power Forward #21
Darius Bazley led the Lakers with 27 points (8-of-10 FGs, 10-of-12 FTs), 13 rebounds, two assists, one block and one three-pointer in an 89-88 win over the Spurs on Tuesday.
Bazley shouldn’t have to play in Summer League to earn a roster spot, but he is. With how dominant he has been, it would be surprising if he didn’t at least get a two-way deal. He was fantastic on both ends of the floor on Tuesday and helped the Lakers complete the comeback with a putback dunk that gave them the 89-88 lead. As long as Bazley is suiting up, expect him to dominate.
  • LAL Shooting Guard #4
Dalton Knecht finished with 25 points (9-of-18 FGs), eight rebounds and four three-pointers against the Spurs on Tuesday.
It took a few games, but the Knecht that we saw as a rookie finally showed up. He scored 11 points in the final 2:34 of this game to help the Lakers storm back after trailing by double digits with four minutes left. He wasn’t great in their last two games, so it was good to see him finally get his shot going. Hopefully this will carry over into the games in Las Vegas.
  • LAL Shooting Guard #9
Bronny James only contributed two points (1-of-5 FGs), one rebound, one assist and two steals against the Spurs on Tuesday.
James’ role in Summer League so far has been limited; he played just 15 minutes on Tuesday after playing 11 minutes on Sunday. Perhaps they’re saving him for their showdown with Cooper Flagg and the Mavericks on Thursday.
  • OKC Point Guard #25
Ajay Mitchell led the Thunder with 19 points (6-of-14 FGs), five rebounds, eight assists, two steals, two three-pointers and five turnovers in an 86-82 win over the Jazz on Tuesday.
Mitchell has been the best player on the floor for most of Summer League, and that was the case once again on Tuesday. He shot the ball better than he did on Monday, and he was able to fill up the box score as well. We’ll see how many games Mitchell gets to play in Las Vegas. The extra time on the floor will certainly help, but he could already have proven what he needs to.
  • OKC Small Forward
Brooks Barnhizer finished with 12 points (5-of-7 FGs), six rebounds, three assists, two steals, two blocks and two three-pointers against the Jazz on Tuesday.
The 44th pick in the draft last month, Barnhizer has been really solid through three Summer League games, with Tuesday’s performance being his best. He did a little bit of everything, and he was efficient while doing it. He likely won’t crack OKC’s rotation this season, but it is still good to see him play this well in Summer League. We’ll see if he can keep it up in Las Vegas.
  • UTA Power Forward #22
Kyle Filipowski recorded a double-double on Tuesday with 18 points (5-of-12 FGs), 15 rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks, two three-pointers and seven turnovers against the Thunder.
It was a full stat line from Filipowski in the win over OKC. There were positives, like the dominance on the glass, the deep-range shooting and the defensive stats. However, there were also negatives, like the turnovers. Filipowski is coming off a strong rookie season and should feature prominently in the rotation next season for Utah.
  • UTA Small Forward #5
Cody Williams struggled on Tuesday and finished with just three points (1-of-6 FGs), two assists, one steal, one block and one three-pointer against the Thunder.
Williams has been really solid so far in Summer League, which makes this dud of a game less discouraging. He had a poor rookie season, so games like this aren’t what we want to see. However, we’ll cut him some slack on the second night of a back-to-back. Hopefully Williams will be able to bounce back in Las Vegas.
