Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that Kai Jones has agreed to a non-guaranteed deal to return to the Clippers.
Drafted in 2021, Jones has only appeared in 67 games in his NBA career. He did not appear in a regular-season NBA game in 2023-24, but he’ll compete for a roster spot for a team severely lacking in center depth. Jones isn’t worth selecting in 2024-25 fantasy drafts, but he’s worth keeping an eye on if Ivica Zubac is forced to miss time during the upcoming season.

Kelly Oubre Jr. tallied three points (1-of-4 FGs), four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one three-pointer in Saturday’s loss to the Pistons.
HLs: Jokic has 40 as Nuggets win eighth straight
Nikola Jokic scored 40 points, dished out 13 assists and hauled in eights rebounds to lead the Nuggets to a 136-134 overtime win over the Spurs at Ball Arena, their eighth consecutive victory and 50th of the season.
  • PHI Forward #8
Paul George finished Saturday’s loss to the Pistons with 20 points (7-of-14 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, four assists, two steals and three three-pointers.
  • PHI Guard #77
VJ Edgecombe amassed 19 points (7-of-18 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, one assist, two steals, one block and two three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Pistons.
Limited to eight points in his last outing, Edgecombe more than doubled that number on Saturday. The 76ers’ rookie did not have the most efficient night, but he did finish with a complete stat line. With the 76ers still fighting for seeding in the East, fantasy managers whose leagues run through Week 24 should benefit from Edgecombe having four games on the schedule.
  • PHI Guard #0
Tyrese Maxey recorded 23 points (8-of-17 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs), one rebound, one assist, one steal and two three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Pistons.
Maxey led all scorers with 23 points, but this was not one of his better games. The 76ers guard, who Ausar Thompson hounded for most of the night, recorded just one assist in 33 minutes. Given how many fantasy managers have benefitted from Maxey’s production throughout the season, this was a disappointing end to Week 23 for those competing for league championships. For managers whose seasons will be active in Week 24, Philadelphia plays four games.
  • DET Guard #24
Daniss Jenkins recorded 16 points (4-of-11 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), four rebounds, 14 assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the 76ers.
Jenkins has hit double digits in assists on four occasions this season, with Saturday’s tally being one shy of his career-high. With the second-year guard filling in for the injured Cade Cunningham (lung), the Pistons have not missed a beat. Saturday’s win guaranteed Detroit the top seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. For managers whose leagues will still be active, the Pistons play four games in Week 24, and Jenkins is worth rostering.
  • DET Guard-Forward #9
Ausar Thompson amassed 14 points (7-of-11 FGs), five rebounds, two assists, three steals and one block in Saturday’s win over the 76ers.
While Philadelphia’s Tyrese Mazey led all scorers with 23 points, Thompson did an outstanding job of making him work for everything. The 76ers’ point guard was able to get his, but he could not get others going. Maxey was responsible for just one assist, while Thompson recorded three steals and a blocked shot. Add in the points and rebounds, and the Pistons’ wing had a very good night in Philadelphia.
  • DET Forward #12
Tobias Harris accounted for 19 points (7-of-13 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, two assists, four steals and one three-pointer in Saturday’s win over the 76ers.
After exiting Thursday’s win over the Timberwolves with a knee contusion, Harris played 27 minutes without issue on Saturday. The 19 points were the most he’s scored in a game since March 25, when he put up 22 in a loss to the Hawks. The win over the 76ers secured for the Pistons the top seed in the East, which could lead to key players getting a little more rest during Week 24.
  • BKN Forward-Center #21
Noah Clowney (ankle) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Wizards.
Clowney has been dealing with a sore left ankle for a little while now, but his Friday night was cut short due to a third-quarter ejection. With Nic Claxton (hand) already out, Clowney would figure prominently in the starting lineup, even if his minutes are limited.
  • BKN Center #33
Nic Claxton (hand) is out for Sunday’s game against the Wizards.
Claxton is dealing with a sore right hand and will not play on Sunday. His absence frees up minutes for Josh Minott and Chaney Johnson, but both are risky plays due to the unpredictable nature of head coach Jordi Fernandez’s rotations.
  • PHX Guard #23
Jordan Goodwin (calf) is not on the injury report for Sunday’s game against the Bulls.
Goodwin left Thursday’s loss to the Hornets with calf and back injuries, but he was a full participant in Saturday’s practice. He’ll get rotation minutes on Sunday, but it’s unlikely that Goodwin will do enough to affect fantasy basketball.
