Furphy’s production during his lone season at Kansas picked up once injuries freed up additional minutes for the freshman wing. From mid-January onward, the 6-foot-7.5 Australian averaged 11.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.6 3-pointers, shooting 46.4% from the field and 78.6% from the foul line. Well over half of Furphy’s shot attempts for the season came from beyond the arc, and the majority of his makes were assisted. He didn’t show much regarding the ability to create for himself, and the athletic testing numbers suggest that he may be more of a catch-and-shoot option at the NBA level. The Spurs drafted Furphy, but they’ll send him to the Indiana Pacers, where he’ll look to provide length and outside shooting prowess among a smaller group of wings.

Sanogo will provide center depth behind Nikola Vucevic and Jalen Smith, but he could see a larger role in Chicago’s rotation if the Bulls decide to move on from Vucevic in the offseason.

While the Heat have also been reported to have interest in DeRozan, an unrestricted free agent, they lack the ability to give the veteran wing what he’s looking for financially. Sacramento and San Antonio are other teams that have reportedly expressed interest. The Kings need an upgrade on the wing to improve their standing within the Western Conference, while the Spurs have already signed Chris Paul to strengthen the roster around Victor Wembanyama. DeRozan has been a consistent fantasy option, providing top-50 value despite failing to offer value in the 3-point category.

Jones is dealing with another injury, as a hamstring issue sidelined him during the spring. While the ankle injury will keep him from participating in Summer League action, the Clippers plan to retain Jones, according to Law Murray of The Athletic. He’ll have ample time to recover in time for training camp, and Jones is not a player fantasy managers should be planning to select in drafts this fall.

Prince was effective last season, appearing in 78 games (49 starts) for the Lakers. In those appearances, he averaged 8.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.7 steals, and 1.8 3-pointers in 27.0 minutes. Prince shot nearly 40% from beyond the arc, and his arrival gives the Bucks another 3-and-D wing to plug into the rotation.

Dozier is back in the NBA after playing in Serbia last season. He suffered a torn ACL during the 2022-23 season as a member of the Kings, with Sacramento waiving him last July. Dozier played in 54 games in all competitions for Partizan, averaging 8.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.7 3-pointers in 19.6 minutes. He’ll provide additional depth on the wing with the Timberwolves but should not be relied on in most fantasy leagues.

Acquired by the Knicks at the February deadline, Burks slipped out of the rotation before injuries pushed him back into the fold during the Pacers series. He finished the season with a 26-point effort in New York’s Game 7 defeat, so the potential to provide instant offense remains. However, with Tyler Herro and Terry Rozier in the fold, Burks’ fantasy ceiling will be limited in 2024-25.

Ingles spent last season with Orlando, and now he’ll look to fill some of the bench minutes in Minnesota. Kyle Anderson left for Golden State, so Ingles may have a role immediately. However, he’s past his days of contributing in fantasy, though he may be worth streaming from time to time.

One day after officially retiring from basketball, it has been announced that Walker will be an assistant coach for his former team. He’ll bring plenty of wisdom to a young team that is looking to turn a corner with a first year head coach at the helm.

Bryant played 11.6 minutes across 38 appearances last season. The Heat added Kel’el Ware in the draft, so Bryant may end up being their third option at center. He’ll be a solid depth piece, but there isn’t much fantasy value here.

Vukcevic will be back with the Wizards after closing out last season with them. He may spend a lot of time to start the year in the G-League, with Jonas Valanciunas, Richaun Holmes and Marvin Bagley filling most of the center minutes. He has a ton of upside, and he is worth stashing in dynasty formats.
