The Jazz selected Kyle Filipowski with the No. 32 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
After a strong freshman season at Duke, Filipowski had a strong case to enter the draft last season. However, he came back for another season and made a number of statistical improvements to improve his draft stock. He doubled his block numbers and nearly did the same with his assists. He also made leaps with both his field goal and free throw percentage. Filipowski averaged 16.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.1 steals, 1.5 blocks and 1.1 triples per game. He’s a strong passer for a big, and if he can continue to improve as a shooter, he should fit flawlessly in today’s NBA. It’s unclear how he’ll fit into the rotation, but he’ll take a back seat to John Collins and Walker Kessler to start while he tries to establish a role.
