Patrick Baldwin Jr. got the start on Tuesday and contributed 15 points (6-of-11 FGs), six rebounds, four assists, two steals and three triples against Minnesota.
Washington played this game without Marvin Bagley, Richaun Holmes and Tristan Vukcevic, which resulted in PBJ and Anthony Gill holding down the minutes down low. Against Rudy Gobert, that wasn’t the ideal answer. Still, both Baldwin Jr. and Gill (15/9/3/0/3) were able to provide strong stat lines, even if it didn’t result in a win. PBJ and Gill should see big minutes over Washington’s final two games of the season, but they shouldn’t be on anybody’s draft board next year.
