Spencer Dinwiddie amassed 18 points (4-of-7 FGs, 7-of-7 FTs), five rebounds, seven assists, and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes in Sunday’s 127-117 loss to the Timberwolves.
Dinwiddie started Sunday’s game due to the absence of LeBron James, who did not play due to flu-like symptoms. Unlike the first two times he started for James, both of the Lakers’ games against Milwaukee, Dinwiddie was productive playing alongside D’Angelo Russell. Anthony Davis (eye) exiting after playing 12 minutes was also a factor, but fantasy managers may have gotten a little more than they expected from Dinwiddie. With Davis expected to play on Tuesday and LeBron likely back as well, Dinwiddie in a reserve role isn’t a good option for fantasy managers whose leagues will still be active.
