Malik Williams shot 0-of-7 from the field in Wednesday’s 133-85 loss to the Timberwolves, going scoreless with five rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two blocked shots in 31 minutes.
With Kelly Olynyk among the many Raptors sidelined on Wednesday, Williams made his first NBA start in Minneapolis. And this wasn’t an easy matchup by any stretch of the imagination, as the rookie had to deal with Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid. Williams went scoreless, with the rebounds, steals, and blocks being the only areas where he provided tangible value. Even if Olynyk remains sidelined, there will be better streaming options than Williams on your league’s waiver wire.
