Scoot Henderson accumulated 22 points (9-of-20 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, six assists, two steals, and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Nuggets.
Henderson was one of six Blazers in double figures on Saturday and tied for the team lead in assists with six. Turnovers (four) and foul trouble were issues for the rookie against the Nuggets, but the overall production was solid. One has to assume that Henderson will surpass 30 minutes consistently moving forward, provided he avoids foul trouble. Anfernee Simons (knee) will undergo an MRI on Sunday to determine the severity of the injury he suffered on Friday. However, regardless of the results, Henderson will figure prominently in the rotation for the rest of the season. Ashton Hagans, whose minutes increased due to Henderson’s foul trouble, chipped in with two points, four rebounds, six assists, one steal, and two blocks in 21 minutes off the bench.

Gary Trent (back) is questionable for the Bucks’ Friday meeting with the Knicks.
Trent was demoted to the bench on Thursday and played only eight minutes. He likely won’t be a factor on Friday if he’s active, as Andre Jackson was a more effective starter in Milwaukee’s last game and Trent has struggled to shoot the ball this season.
  • MIL Power Forward #34
Giannis Antetokounmpo (right adductor strain) is active for Friday’s Bucks-Knicks matchup.
Antetokounmpo was dominant in his return from a one-game absence and posted 31 points and 16 rebounds against the Jazz on Thursday. He’ll continue to carry a heavy workload for Milwaukee when active.
  • CLE Shooting Guard #5
Sam Merrill (ankle) is listed as questionable for the Cavs’ Friday matchup with the Warriors.
Merrill tweaked his ankle against the New Orleans Pelicans and his status for Friday is up in the air. Caris LeVert and Ty Jerome could benefit if the sharp shooter misses any time.
  • NOP Shooting Guard #24
Jordan Hawkins (low back tightness) is set to miss one to two weeks of action.
Hawkins logged 19 minutes in his last outing after missing his first game of the season. Now the second-year guard will miss an extended period of time after ramping up his production from his rookie year. Brandon Boston should benefit from his absence.
  • NOP Small Forward #25
Trey Murphy (right hamstring strain) has been ruled out for the Pelicans’ Friday matchup against the Magic.
Murphy still hasn’t made his 2024-25 debut and has been ruled out ahead of the weekend. His next chance to play will come against the Nets on Monday.
  • UTA Point Guard #00
Jordan Clarkson shot 5-of-11 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line in Thursday’s loss to Milwaukee, accumulating 18 points, four rebounds, two assists, and four 3-pointers in 21 minutes.
After a two-game absence, Clarkson looked sharp in his 21 minutes on the floor. The lingering question is whether or not the playing time represents JC’s ceiling, especially with starter Collin Sexton (14 points, two rebounds, seven assists, and two 3-pointers) playing 27 minutes. Off to a slow start to the season before the heel injury, Clarkson needs more minutes if he’s to be a factor in standard leagues.
  • UTA Power Forward #23
Lauri Markkanen (back spasms) finished Thursday’s loss to the Bucks with eight points (3-of-10 FGs), seven rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two 3-pointers in 29 minutes.
Active after missing three games due to back spasms, Markkanen struggled in Milwaukee. However, fantasy managers should take solace in him playing 29 minutes without issue. He’ll have better nights offensively. As for Kyle Filipowski, who filled in for Markkanen, the rookie only played three minutes on Thursday. There’s no need to keep Filipowski on your fantasy roster.
  • MIL Shooting Guard #44
Andre Jackson Jr. accounted for seven points (3-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, four steals, and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes in Thursday’s win over Utah.
Bucks coach Doc Rivers changed the starting lineup for Thursday’s game, replacing Gary Trent Jr. with Jackson. The second-year wing may not have offered much as a scorer, but the defensive activity (and four steals) made a difference. However, the Jazz aren’t the best opposition to use as a measuring stick, so fantasy managers will learn more when the Bucks visit the Knicks on Friday. As for Trent, he only played eight minutes, so he’s safe to drop in most leagues.

Damian Lillard shot 12-of-22 from the field and 6-of-7 from the foul line in Thursday’s win over Utah, tallying 34 points, four rebounds, seven assists, four steals, and four 3-pointers in 37 minutes.
Lillard has been on a roll recently, scoring 33 points or more in three straight and four of his last five. The exception was his brutal four-point performance in Memphis on Halloween, which was a clear departure from the norm. Getting Giannis Antetokounmpo back helps, but Lillard’s been clicking on all cylinders offensively, regardless of who’s playing alongside him.
  • MIL Power Forward #34
Giannis Antetokounmpo amassed 31 points (11-of-21 FGs, 9-of-12 FTs), 16 rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one blocked shot in 30 minutes in Thursday’s win over the Jazz.
After a strained adductor sidelined him for Monday’s loss in Cleveland, Giannis was back in the lineup on Thursday. He did his usual business, recording another 30-point double-double with a solid field-goal percentage. The exception was that Giannis shot the ball well from the foul line, with Thursday being the second time he’s hit 70% or better in a game this season. Fantasy managers should consider Antetokounmpo questionable for Friday’s game against the Knicks.
