Davion Mitchell shot 4-of-4 from the field in Wednesday’s win over the Lakers, accounting for 12 points, one rebound, one assist, and four 3-pointers in 18 minutes.
The overall stat line was modest, but Mitchell’s worth from beyond the arc is noteworthy. The four 3-pointers matched his season high, first achieved in a February 11 loss to the Thunder. And Mitchell also went 4-of-4 from deep in that game. While a double-digit scorer in two of his last three outings, the lack of consistent production makes Mitchell a player who should not be rostered in most leagues. But it was nice to see him knock down a few 3-pointers, as he’s struggled as a perimeter shooter since entering the NBA.
