The Knicks have signed Jacob Toppin to a 10-day contract.
Toppin, who represented the Knicks in last weekend’s dunk contest in Indianapolis, was initially on a two-way contract. In five appearances with the team this season, he’s averaged 2.6 points and 1.2 rebounds per game but has excelled for the Knicks’ G League affiliate. In 13 starts for the Westchester Knicks, Toppin has averaged 21.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. His signing will not impact fantasy basketball.

Tre Jones (left shoulder sprain) has been ruled out for Thursday’s Spurs-Bulls game.
Jones is set to miss a second straight game after returning from an ankle injury for two games. He hasn’t been present enough this season to affect the rotation.
  • SAS Power Forward #1
Victor Wembanyama (back) has been ruled out for Thursday’s Spurs-Bulls game.
Wembanyama appears to have to have tweaked his back during his double-double performance against the Suns. Zach Collins an Charles Bassey will get a chance t take on larger roles against Chicago.
  • CHA Small Forward #0
Miles Bridges (right knee bone bruise) will not play in Thursday’s game against the Knicks.
Bridges has not played since November 19, but he resumed on-court activities on November 27. He’ll miss at least one more game, keeping Tidjane Salaun in the starting lineup. While the opportunities have been there, Salaun hasn’t been consistent enough to merit being streamed in most leagues.
  • DEN Power Forward #31
Vlatko Cancar underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee and will be re-evaluated in eight weeks.
Cancar injured his knee during a November 19 game against the Grizzlies and has not played since. Part of the concern was that this was the same knee he injured (torn ACL) in the summer of 2023 that cost Cancar the entire 2023-24 campaign. His absence will not impact fantasy basketball.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #1
Gradey Dick (left calf contusion) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Thunder.
He was also questionable ahead of Tuesday’s win over the Pacers, a game Gradey ultimately missed. If cleared to play, he’ll bump Ja’Kobe Walter to the bench.
  • CHI Shooting Guard #3
Josh Giddey (right ankle sprain) is listed as questionable for Thursday’s Bulls-Spurs matchup.
Giddey is a little banged up after recording his first Bulls triple-double. Coby White has already been ruled out, so Ayo Dosunmu could be in line for a larger role.
  • CLE Point Guard #2
Ty Jerome (illness) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Nuggets.
Jerome sat out Tuesday’s win over the Wizards, a blowout that included Darius Garland exiting with a head injury. However, with Garland absent from the injury report for Thursday, Jerome will be in his usual backup role if cleared. Caris LeVert may spend more time on the ball if Jerome remains sidelined, and the Cavs can also stagger the minutes of starters Garland and Donovan Mitchell.
  • CLE Point Guard #10
Darius Garland (head injury) is not on the initial injury report for Thursday’s game against Denver.
During Tuesday’s win over the Wizards, Garland was injured when he collided with Jonas Valanciunas. His absence from the initial injury report means he’s been given a clean bill of health for Thursday night. Ty Jerome, questionable with an illness, would have been next in line if Garland could not play.
  • DEN Power Forward #32
Aaron Gordon (right calf strain) is listed as probable for Thursday’s Nuggets-Cavaliers matchup.
Gordon flirted with a double-double his last time out and is on track to play in a second straight contest after returning from injury. He logged 33 minutes against the Warriors and there’s been no indication that he can’t handle a similar workload against Cleveland.
  • LAC Power Forward #21
Kobe Brown (back injury management) will not play in Wednesday’s game against Minnesota.
Wednesday’s game will be the fifth Brown missed due to his back injury. His absence will not impact fantasy basketball, as he’s been on the back end of the Clippers’ rotation when healthy.
