Jay Scrubb shot 6-of-12 from the field and 2-of-3 from the foul line in Wednesday’s 95-90 win over the Lakers, accounting for 18 points, six rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block, and four 3-pointers in 23 minutes.
Fighting for either a roster spot or a training camp invite, Scrubb was highly productive off the bench on Wednesday. Scoring has never been an issue for him, but the defensive consistency hasn’t always been there. Until we have clarity on Scrubb’s roster status for next season, there’s no need to consider drafting him in any fantasy league. And Boston may not be the best spot for him regarding fantasy relevance due to the Celtics’ depth on the wings.

Jonathan Kuminga (right ankle sprain) will be re-evaluated around January 26th.
Kuminga will miss at least their next 11 games, and it could be longer before he returns to the floor. Steve Kerr said that Moses Moody and Kyle Anderson should see an increased opportunity as long as Kuminga is sidelined, though Kerr’s rotations have been inconsistent this season, which will make it difficult to rely on either as streaming options.
  • OKC Shooting Guard #21
Aaron Wiggins provided a boost off the bench with 15 points (6-of-9 FGs), one rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers against the Celtics on Sunday.
Wiggins has been a solid rotation piece for the Thunder this season, but that hasn’t resulted in much fantasy production from him. However, he has scored 34 points over their last two games, which has helped the Thunder beat two of the best teams in the East. Wiggins has been in and out of the starting unit, though he has mostly been a reserve for OKC this season. With only three games next week, it would be difficult to justify Wiggins as a streaming option, even if he has played well recently.
  • OKC Shooting Guard #5
Luguentz Dort posted a full line on Sunday with 14 points (5-of-14 FGs), six rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and four 3-pointers against Boston.
Dort hasn’t been a great fantasy option this season, but he came up big for them late in this game, which resulted in decent fantasy numbers. Dort had a perfect fourth quarter, shooting 4-of-4 from the floor with three 3-pointers to help the Thunder complete the comeback and win their 15th straight game. This was Dort’s fourth straight game with at least three triples, and he been a solid source of defensive numbers as well. They’re now 30-5 as a team, and they’ll head to Cleveland to take on the 30-4 Cavaliers on Wednesday, which will be the first game of a four-game road trip for them.
  • POR Center #2
Deandre Ayton (rest) is listed as questionable to play against the Pistons on Monday.
Apparently, Ayton has been working really hard recently and may have earned a random rest day. Perhaps Portland offers PTO, and he’s using one of his days. Fantasy managers may not be too upset if that happens, since that would likely allow Donovan Clingan to start, with Robert Williams filling out the backup center minutes.
  • MEM Point Guard #17
Yuki Kawamura (left shoulder soreness) is probable to play against the Mavericks on Monday.
Kawamura should be available to play after a few recent absences, but even when healthy, he doesn’t play much of a role for Memphis.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #10
Luke Kennard (right hamstring soreness) will remain sidelined for Monday’s matchup with the Mavericks.
This will be a second straight absence for Kennard, and with Desmond Bane listed as doubtful, there will be plenty of open minutes at guard. John Konchar should fill the starting role, though rookie Cam Spencer may see a few extra minutes off the bench.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #46
John Konchar (left shoulder soreness) is not on the injury report for Monday’s matchup with Dallas.
After missing their last game, Konchar will be back in the lineup when they take on the Mavericks. Desmond Bane (ankle) is listed as doubtful, which means that Konchar may be able to slide into the starting unit. Luke Kennard is still sidelined, so Konchar should play a large role regardless.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #22
Desmond Bane (left ankle sprain) is doubtful to play against the Mavericks on Monday.
Bane is expected to be sidelined for this game after recording a double-double during Saturday’s loss. John Konchar will be back after missing that game and will have a good chance to move into the starting unit.
  • ORL Point Guard #50
The Magic will start Cole Anthony, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Caleb Houstan, Tristan da Silva and Goga Bitadze against the Jazz on Sunday.
With Jalen Suggs (back) sidelined, Anthony will get his first start of the season after dishing out 11 assists off the bench in their last game. Anthony Black (back) will be available to play and should fill out the backup point guard minutes.
  • UTA Point Guard #13
The Jazz will start Isaiah Collier, Collin Sexton, Johnny Juzang, Micah Potter and Walker Kessler against Orlando on Sunday.
Utah will be without Lauri Markkanen, John Collins and Keyonte George in this game, which allows for them to roll out three new starters in Collier, Juzang and Potter. Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski should also play large roles off the bench due to the lack of available players for the Jazz in this game.
