Jaxson Hayes came off the bench on Wednesday and contributed 15 points (4-for-5 FGs), four rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks against Portland.
With Jonas Valanciunas sidelined with a calf contusion, Hayes came off the bench despite playing 25 minutes in their last game. Instead, WIlly Hernangomez got the start after receiving a DNP in their previous outing. However, while Hernangomez struggled to produce much value while getting torched by Damian Lillard, Hayes turned in a solid line off the bench. If Valanciunas remains sidelined in Golden State on Friday, Hayes should be the better streaming option.

Myron Gardner was ejected from Saturday’s game against the Grizzlies with 1:55 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Gardner and Memphis’ Scotty Pippen Jr. received their marching orders with just under two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter after getting into an altercation. It started when Gardner delivered a shot to Pippen from behind after the Grizzlies guard released a three-pointer. After making the shot, Pippen sought out Gardner, leading to a wrestling match in the corner that required multiple officials and coaches to break up. Gardner finished with five points, three rebounds, two assists and one three-pointer in six minutes.
HLs: Edwards torches Mavericks, scores 40 points
Anthony Edwards returned to Minnesota with his All-Star Game MVP award and scored 40 points to help the Timberwolves beat Dallas 122-111. Edwards, who has eight 40-point games this season, had 14 in the fourth quarter.

Scotty Pippen Jr. was ejected from Saturday’s game against the Heat with 1:55 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Pippen and Miami’s Myron Gardner received their marching orders with just under two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter after getting into an altercation. It started when Gardner delivered a shot to Pippen from behind after the Grizzlies guard released a three-pointer. After making the shot, Pippen sought out Gardner, leading to a wrestling match in the corner that required multiple officials and coaches to break up. Pippen finished 18 points, four rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block and three three-pointers.
  • HOU Forward #8
Jae’Sean Tate (knee) will not return to Saturday’s game against the Knicks.
Tate injured his right knee during the second quarter when his leg was landed on by New York’s Karl-Anthony Towns as the two were scrambling for a loose ball. Tate has been diagnosed with a sprained knee, but more will be learned about the severity of the injury in the coming days. His absence does not affect fantasy basketball.
  • CHI Guard #22
Anfernee Simons (wrist) will not return to Saturday’s game against the Pistons.
Simons injured his left wrist during the first half of Saturday’s game and was ruled out early in the third quarter. He played 13 minutes, finishing with four points (2-of-6 FGs) and two rebounds. If Simons has to miss time, that should free up minutes for Rob Dillingham, but the former lottery pick is not worth the risk in redraft leagues.
  • ORL Guard #4
Jalen Suggs (back) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Clippers.
Back spasms sidelined Suggs for Saturday’s double-overtime loss to the Suns, opening up a spot in the starting lineup for Tristan da Silva. While da Silva shot just 2-of-10 from the field, he played 38 minutes, finishing with five points, nine rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one three-pointer. He would remain in the starting lineup if Suggs can’t play on Sunday.
  • PHX Guard-Forward #3
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that Dillon Brooks (hand) will be out indefinitely.
Brooks injured his left hand during the first quarter of Saturday’s win over the Magic. According to Charania, the wing has been diagnosed with a fracture and does not have a return timeline. With Devin Booker (hip) out for at least one week, losing Brooks is a huge deal for the Suns. Ryan Dunn started the second half of Saturday’s game and could be thrust into that role for the foreseeable future. Due to the injuries, he’s worth rostering in deep leagues.
  • PHX Guard #8
Grayson Allen led the Suns to a 113-110 double-overtime win over the Magic on Saturday with a team-high 27 points (8-of-22 FGs, 7-of-7 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block over 33 minutes.
Allen provided a certifiable spark off the bench, carrying Phoenix’s offense with star Devin Booker still sidelined as he recovers from a right hip strain. The 30-year-old sharpshooter was back in the lineup following a four-game absence due to an ankle injury. He was just 4-of-14 from beyond the arc but managed to get to the charity stripe a whopping seven times in the marathon affair.
  • ORL Guard #3
Desmond Bane scored a team-high 34 points (12-of-18 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), four rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block over 39 minutes in Saturday’s double-overtime loss to the Suns.
Bane was extremely efficient, shooting 67 percent from the floor, including knocking down 5-of-9 from long range. The 27-year-old marquee offseason import is averaging an impressive 26.8 points over his last four games.
  • PHX Guard #23
According to Suns head coach Jordan Ott, Jordan Goodwin (calf) will undergo an MRI on Sunday.
Goodwin injured his left calf during the fourth quarter of Saturday’s double-overtime win over the Magic. After taking an awkward step and grabbing his left calf during an offensive possession, Goodwin gave a foul and headed to the locker room immediately. With Devin Booker (hip) out for at least one week and Dillon Brooks (hand) going down during the first quarter, the Suns could be extremely light on perimeter options for Sunday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
  • POR Guard #17
Shaedon Sharpe (calf) is out for Sunday’s game against the Suns.
Sharpe will miss a sixth consecutive game as he continues to deal with a strained left calf. The recent returns of Matisse Thybulle and Kris Murray have boosted Portland’s wing depth, but neither is at a point where they can affect fantasy basketball. Regarding the starting lineup, Sidy Cissoko may be the fifth starter if Deni Avdija (back; questionable) plays.
