Nuggets associate head coach Wes Unseld Jr. has emerged as the front runner for the Wizards head coaching job, according to The Athletic.
Unseld Jr. has been connected to the Wizards (and Bullets) seemingly since birth, as his father remains one of the greatest players in the history of the franchise. The younger Unseld was an assistant for the Wizards from 2005-11, and he has been a member of the Nuggets coaching staff since 2015. On Wednesday, it was reported that Bucks assistants Darvin Ham and Charles Lee were also under consideration for the Wizards head coaching job. One day later, it appears that Unseld Jr. has separated himself from the pack based upon this most recent report.

  • ORL Center #34

Wendell Carter Jr. (left foot plantar fasciitis) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Clippers.
Carter Jr. has now missed a handful of games due to his foot injury. He went through part of the team’s practice on Tuesday, though, and at least has a chance to play on Wednesday with the questionable tag.
  • SAS Shooting Guard #24
Devin Vassell (left knee soreness) is listed as questionable for Tuesday’s Spurs-Thunder game.
Vassell’s time off the injury report was brief. He sat out against the Mavericks because of a right foot injury and is now dealing with a knee injury on the opposite leg. This new development could cause the Spurs to be more cautious with Vassell and a number of wing role players could play more minutes than usual if he’s ruled out.
  • SAS Power Forward #1
Victor Wembanyama (right knee contusion) has been ruled out for the Spurs’ Tuesday matchup with the Thunder.
Wembanyama’s knee injury will cost him a second straight game. Zach Collins is still worth streaming for now, as he replaced the Spurs’ young superstar in the starting lineup against the Mavericks and will likely continue to do so until he returns.
  • DEN Center #15
Nikola Jokic (personal reasons) has been ruled out for Tuesday game betweent he Nuggets and Grizzlies.
Jokic will miss a third straight contest due to personal reasons. There have been no reports about a potential return date for the big man. Dario Saric will continue to fill in at center in the meantime. He posted a double-double against the Grizzlies in his last outing.
  • BKN Small Forward #1
Ziaire Williams (right hip tightness) is active for Tuesday’s Nets-Hornets matchup.
Williams put together some solid performance in spot starts before returning to the bench for Brooklyn’s two games against New York. He’ll likely play a significant role off the bench against Charlotte but won’t move the needle as a fantasy asset.
  • BKN Shooting Guard #24
Cam Thomas (lower back tightness) is listed as probable for Tuesday’s Nets-Hornets game.
Thomas popped up on the injury report Tuesday and there isn’t real cause for concern right now. It appears like he was never in danger of missing this matchup and he should continue to power the Nets’ scoring attack.
  • LAC Point Guard #77
Clippers coach Tyronn Lue said after Monday’s win over the Warriors that he expects Kevin Porter Jr. (head injury) to be fine.
Porter hit the back of his head on the court during the fourth quarter, with team trainers taking him to the locker room. KPJ did not return, but there’s been no word regarding concussion testing. The Clippers host Orlando on Wednesday, the first of three games they’ll play to conclude Week 5.
  • GSW Power Forward #23
Draymond Green recorded a stat line of nine points (3-of-7 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), nine rebounds, seven assists, one steal, one block, and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Clippers.
Green recorded a full stat line on Monday but was also responsible for six of Golden State’s 19 turnovers. This could be a matter of the matchup not being good for the Warriors forward, as he was also ineffective in an October 27 loss to the Clippers. Green still provides top-100 per-game value in 9-cat formats, ranking a few spots higher than his Yahoo ADP (101).
  • GSW Small Forward #22
Andrew Wiggins accumulated 22 points (7-of-12 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), three rebounds, one block, and two 3-pointers in 29 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Clippers.
Wiggins entered Monday shooting 36.4% from the field in November, so he needed a night like this. Not only were the 22 points the most he’s scored since October 27 (29 vs. LAC), but this was also Wiggins’ first 20-point game since then. Rostered in 47% of Yahoo leagues, he’s providing 11th-round per-game value in 9-cat formats.
  • GSW Point Guard #30
Stephen Curry shot 10-of-21 from the field in Monday’s loss to the Warriors, accounting for 26 points, seven rebounds, six assists, one block, and six 3-pointers in 32 minutes.
After the Grizzlies limited him to 13 points on Friday, Curry doubled his output in Monday’s defeat. He spent the final seconds searching for a second opportunity to tie the game after missing his first attempt, but the Clippers managed to force Curry to pass the ball to Gary Payton II. GPII missed as time expired, and the Clippers had their second win over the Warriors this season. Golden State plays three more games in Week 5, beginning with the Hawks on Wednesday.
