The Mavericks plan to sign Courtney Lee to replace J.J. Barea on their training camp roster.
Lee isn’t likely to make the final roster, but team owner Mark Cuban has rewarded both Lee and outgoing guard Barea with non-guaranteed camp deals. It’s a classy gesture from the Mavs organization.

Jose Alvarado (left hamstring strain) is out for Wednesday’s game against Miami.
Alvarado is still not ready to return from his hamstring injury suffered in early November. Dejounte Murray and CJ McCollum are healthy, so his continued absence does not significantly impact fantasy basketball.
  • Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (left ankle sprain) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Heat.
Robinson-Earl also missed Monday’s game with an ankle injury. Daniel Theis will continue to see extra minutes in his absence, but isn’t worth streaming.
  • MIL Small Forward #22
Khris Middleton (bilateral ankle surgery) is probable for Thursday’s game against the Nets.
Middleton is probably going to be on the Bucks’ injury report for a while as he continues to work his way back from bilateral ankle surgery. Fortunately, with a probable injury designation, fantasy managers can continue to count on the 33-year-old small forward to suit up most nights.
  • MIA Shooting Guard #55
Duncan Robinson (right foot inflammation) is available for Wednesday’s game against the Pelicans.
Robinson is back after sitting out Sunday’s win over the Rockets. Terry Rozier, who replaced him in the lineup, has been suspended one game by the NBA, so Robinson should slide back into the starting lineup without issue.
  • MIL Power Forward #34
Giannis Antetokounmpo (right patellar tendinopathy) is probable for Thursday’s game against the Nets.
Antetokounmpo has been listed on numerous injury reports this season for this issue, but he has rarely missed a game because of patellar tendinopathy. The probable tag suggests he will be cleared to play against the Nets. If Giannis cannot play, Bobby Portis will move into the starting lineup.
  • WAS Shooting Guard #9
Jordan Poole, Bub Carrington, Bilal Coulibaly, Justin Champagnie, and Alexandre Sarr will start Wednesday’s game against the Bulls.
Poole is the lone change to the Wizards’ starting lineup, as he returns after a two-game absence. Malcolm Brogdon will come off the bench. Also of note is Champagnie retaining his spot in the starting lineup, even after Kyle Kuzma returned to action on Monday. This means Champagnie remains of some value to deep-league managers.
  • DET Point Guard #2
Cade Cunningham (left knee tendinopathy) is available for Wednesday’s game against the Magic.
Cunningham is officially available after the Pistons listed him as probable on the initial injury report. He’ll start in his usual spot and should be slotted into fantasy lineups as usual.
  • DAL Center #2
Dereck Lively II (left hip contusion) is available for Wednesday’s game against the Rockets.
Lively II has missed the last three games, but will return Wednesday against the Rockets. He’ll continue to share minutes at the center position with Daniel Gafford.
  • MIN Point Guard #4
Rob Dillingham (right ankle sprain) and Luka Garza (left ankle sprain) will not play in Thursday’s game against the Celtics.
The continued absences of Dillingham and Garza will not impact fantasy basketball, as neither is a consistent member of the Timberwolves rotation when healthy.
  • WAS Point Guard #8
Bub Carrington (post-traumatic headache) is available for Wednesday’s game against the Bulls.
Carrington is available after hitting the back of his head on the court during Monday’s loss to the Knicks. The rookie guard will remain in the rotation, but his fantasy ceiling is lower with Jordan Poole (hip) available to play.
