  • NBA Power Forward #6
Derrick Williams has agreed to a deal with the Spanish team Valencia.
Williams is coming off a stint in Turkey with Fenerbahce, prior to which he was playing in Germany. He’s 29 years old and all signs point to him finishing his playing career overseas.

  • NOP Small Forward #14
According to a report from The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Ingram’s has limited trade value now that potential suitors made other moves.
The Kings added DeMar DeRozan while the Spurs added Harrison Barnes. New Orleans seems more likely to give the 2024-25 season a go with him on the roster before accessing potential landing spots for Ingram.
  • GSW Small Forward #4
According to a report from The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Warriors are open to offering Moses Moody and draft capital (multiple future first-round picks, second-round picks, and pick swaps) to the Jazz to acquire Lauri Markkanen.
The Dubs are reportedly more engaged in Marrkannen trade talks than any other team but aren’t willing to fork up Brandin Podziemski and Jonathan Kuminga in a deal like the Utah wants them too. The two sides are at a standstill. The Dubs’ young pieces have the most to gain from a fantasy perspective with a move to Utah, should the two teams come to an agreement.
  • CHI Small Forward
Matas Buzelis tallied 28 points (10-of-22 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), five rebounds, two steals, and four 3-pointers in 34 minutes in Sunday’s 92-82 loss to the Warriors.
Buzelis wasn’t thrilled with his performance in Saturday’s win over Milwaukee, as he shot 4-of-15 from the field. The rookie was considerably better on Sunday, scoring a game-high 28 points while shooting the ball better from the field and three. And Buzelis had arguably the dunk of the weekend, posterizing Warriors wing Daeqwon Plowden during the fourth quarter. While the rookie does need to get stronger, he isn’t afraid to mix it up on either end of the floor. With the Bulls embarking on a rebuild, Buzelis is a young player the fan base will enjoy watching develop.
  • GSW Power Forward #32
Trayce Jackson-Davis logged 30 minutes in Sunday’s win over the Bulls, amassing 17 points (4-of-7 FGs, 9-of-13 FTs), 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one blocked shot.
Jackson-Davis recorded a double-double in his final game action of the summer, helping lead the Warriors to their second win in Las Vegas. A statistical category to track next season will be assists, as the Warriors want TJD to be more of a playmaker at the center position. He averaged 1.2 helpers per game as a rookie (1.7 as a starter). If Jackson-Davis can get that number close to three (he had three on Sunday), that would give his fantasy value a welcome boost.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #2
Brandin Podziemski finished Sunday’s 92-82 win over Chicago with 21 points (8-of-14 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), 12 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes.
Podziemski finished Sunday’s win three assists shy of a triple-double, with the lone negative being his seven turnovers. This was a busy period for the Warriors guard, who spent time with the United States select team before joining his team for summer league play. Podziemski is done for the summer, and the next step is to lock down a place in the starting lineup following Klay Thompson’s departure.
  • DEN Shooting Guard
Trey Alexander amassed 18 points (6-of-10 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, five assists, two steals, one block, and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes in Sunday’s 84-81 loss to Toronto.
The Nuggets did not waste much time adding Alexander to their roster, signing him to a two-way deal less than an hour after the conclusion of last month’s draft. The former Creighton standout is a capable scorer and playmaker, which was on display in Sunday’s close defeat. Alexander’s chances of earning consistent rotation minutes are slim due to his contract and Denver’s cap situation. Still, he has the talent to earn opportunities throughout the season.
  • DEN Shooting Guard #3
Julian Strawther finished Sunday’s 84-81 loss to the Raptors with 32 points (10-of-21 FGs, 6-of-10 FTs), three rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block, and six 3-pointers in 34 minutes.
The Nuggets’ summer league roster is set up for Strawther to flourish offensively, and that’s precisely what he did on Sunday. The 2023 first-round pick torched the Raptors, with a missed 3-point attempt as time expired being all that kept the Nuggets from forcing overtime. Christian Braun is viewed by many as the expected replacement for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope due to his defensive ability, but Strawther should play more minutes as well, even if he comes off the bench. He’s worth taking a flier on in the final round of standard league drafts, as Strawther’s shooting ability will be needed.
  • TOR Small Forward
Jonathan Mogbo (back contusion) finished Sunday’s 84-81 win over Denver with five points (2-of-4 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), one rebound, one assist, and one blocked shot in nine minutes.
Mogbo fell hard on his back after being inadvertently undercut by teammate Ulrich Chomche late in the third quarter of Sunday’s game. Gingerly walking back to the locker room to be evaluated, the rookie joined Gradey Dick as Raptors forced to exit Sunday’s game prematurely due to injury. No decision has been made regarding Mogbo’s availability for the remainder of Summer League.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #1
Gradey Dick (left ankle injury) will not return to Sunday’s game against the Nuggets.
Dick injured his ankle during the first half of Sunday’s game. While it was initially reported that he was available to return, the Raptors decided at halftime that their 2023 first-round pick would not play. Dick played 13 minutes, finishing with four points (2-of-9 FGs) and four rebounds.
  • ATL Power Forward #32
E.J. Liddell logged 27 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Spurs, scoring 22 points (6-of-14 FGs, 8-of-10 FTs) with five rebounds, four blocks, and two 3-pointers.
Liddell was perceived as a “throw-in” in the Dejounte Murray trade but looked like a legitimate contributor on Sunday night. While the scoring was not surprising, Liddell blocking four shots was unexpected, given the career average of 0.3 per game as a rookie. He’s a rugged forward who can be challenging to corral when allowed to get downhill off the dribble. The Hawks also acquired Larry Nance Jr. in the Murray trade, but there could be minutes behind Jalen Johnson at power forward, especially if Nance or Clint Capela were to be moved before the season begins. If so, Liddell’s chances of earning rotation minutes will increase.
