Jerry Colangelo said that the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremonies for the Class of 2020 will be moved to spring of 2021.
According to ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan, Colangelo said the original dates of enshrinement weekend, Aug. 28-30, and the proposed alternate dates of Oct. 10-12, are “just not feasible” in light of the coronavirus pandemic that has killed more than 100,000 in the U.S. and has rendered large gatherings taboo. The board of governors will convene on June 10 to explore spring dates, and Colangelo adds that the 2021 ceremony will be on a different day next year and the events will not be combined. The 2020 class is one of the best ever with Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan as all-time greats, and it’ll be another emotional day to honor Kobe’s legacy.

Scoot Henderson impressed with 19 points (8-of-15 FGs, 1-of-3 FTs), four rebounds, six assists, five steals, a blocks, and two three-pointers against the Mavericks on Saturday.
Henderson is on a roll. The Trail Blazers point guard hit a game winner against the Jazz before recording a career-high five steals against the Mavericks. He’s averaged 15.8 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.5 rebounds over his previous four games.
  • POR Center #2
Deandre Ayton finished Saturday’s matchup with the Mavericks with 21 points (9-of-15 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 16 rebounds, one assist, two steals, and three blocks.
Ayton thrived as a scorer, rebounder, and defender against Dallas. The Trail Blazers big man has posted a double-double in the last four contests he’s logged at least 34 minutes in.
  • UTA Small Forward #5
Cody Williams accumulated six points (2-of-4 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, and one assist in 23 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the 76ers.
  • UTA Point Guard #00
Jordan Clarkson accounted for 17 points (7-of-16 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, and one blocked shot in 30 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the 76ers.
Not only was Clarkson back on the floor after sitting out Thursday’s loss to Portland, but he was a starter. Whether or not this holds depends on the availability of Keyonte George, who has missed the last four games with a sprained ankle. Isaiah Collier, who Clarkson replaced in the lineup, played 13 minutes and finished with two points, three rebounds, four assists, and five turnovers.
  • UTA Small Forward #28
Brice Sensabaugh shot 6-of-9 from the field and 5-of-5 from the foul line in Saturday’s loss to Philadelphia, scoring 20 points with five rebounds, two assists, one block, and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes.
Sexton notched the third 20-point game of his career on Saturday, finishing the three-point defeat two shy of his previous high. Cody Williams’ offensive struggles as a starter factored into Sensabaugh getting more opportunities, as did John Collins not being available. Sensabaugh currently doesn’t offer much fantasy value, but that may change after the trade deadline.
  • UTA Shooting Guard #2
Collin Sexton played 31 minutes in Saturday’s loss to Philadelphia, tallying 20 points (9-of-16 FGs), six rebounds, eight assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers.
Keyonte George has missed Utah’s last four games, and his absence has factored into Sexton’s assist numbers increasing. He’s dished out at least five helpers in all four outings and has provided 4th-round per-game value in 9-cat formats over the past two weeks. What the Jazz will do ahead of the February trade deadline remains to be seen, but Sexton’s improved play comes at a good time for those who have him rostered.
  • UTA Power Forward #23
Lauri Markkanen shot 8-of-21 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Saturday’s 114-111 loss to Philadelphia, accounting for 23 points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal, and five 3-pointers in 33 minutes.
Despite shooting 42.6% from the field, Markkanen has provided top 40 per-game value in 9-cat formats over the past two weeks. He remains well off his Yahoo ADP (30) regarding season-long value, but things may be looking up for fantasy managers who have the Jazz star rostered. Markkanen and the Jazz play four games during Week 10, beginning with the Nuggets on Monday.
  • DAL Point Guard #11
Kyrie Irving exploded for 46 points (16-of-26 FGs, 9-of-9 FTs) with two rebounds, two assists, two steals, a block, and five three-pointers against the Trail Blazers on Saturday.
Irving’s season-high 46 points wasn’t enough to lift Dallas past Portland on Saturday. He’ll likely have to continue scoring at a high rate to keep the Mavericks afloat without Luka Doncic for at least the next month.
  • PHI Small Forward #8
Paul George played 32 minutes in Saturday’s win over the Jazz, amassing 13 points (4-of-11 FGs, 3-of-5 FTs), three rebounds, two assists, five steals, and two 3-pointers.
George’s shooting struggles continue, with the 76ers wing making 40.4% of his attempts from the field. However, he compensated for poor shooting on Saturday by racking up a season-high five steals. George has recorded at least three steals in seven of the 19 games he’s played this season, and he had 12 such games with the Clippers in 2023-24. PG’s ranked just outside the top 50 in 9-cat formats for the season; cleaning up the shooting should propel him well within that threshold. Philadelphia plays four games in Week 10 with a back-to-back, so fantasy managers may only have George for three.
  • PHI Point Guard #0
Tyrese Maxey accumulated 32 points (9-of-23 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), six assists, two steals, one blocked shot, and five 3-pointers in 41 minutes in Saturday’s 114-111 win over Utah.
Maxey has scored 30 points or more in three straight games, a feat he last achieved on March 14-18 last season. While shooting a career-low 42% from the field, Maxey is providing top-25 value in 9-cat formats. The points, rebounds, and assists have primarily held steady compared to his 2023-24 averages, but Maxey is recording a career-high 2.0 steals per game. That’s one way to compensate for the decrease in field goal percentage.
