The Nets have begun to compile a list of potential head coaching candidates, but they are not expected to bring someone on until the 2019-20 season concludes.
Tyronn Lue, Jason Kidd, Mark Jackson, Jeff Van Gundy, Mike Brown and the incumbent interim coach Jacque Vaughn are all expected to interview for the position, with Lue reportedly being an early favorite. For what it’s worth, Tom Thibodeau is not currently being considered for the Brooklyn job, but he has been involved in a lot of rumors linking him to the Knicks.

  • UTA Power Forward #20

John Collins shot 9-of-13 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Wednesday’s loss to Oklahoma City, scoring 22 points with 12 rebounds, one assist, and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes.
  • UTA Power Forward #23
Lauri Markkanen played 30 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to Oklahoma City, finishing with 17 points (7-of-17 FGs), six rebounds, one block, and three 3-pointers.
  • UTA Shooting Guard #2
Collin Sexton shot 7-of-15 from the field and 2-of-4 from the foul line in Wednesday’s loss to the Thunder, accounting for 18 points, four rebounds, nine assists, and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes.
After sitting out Monday’s loss to New Orleans, a well-rested Sexton was back in the Jazz lineup, pushing Isaiah Collier to the bench. While he had a solid night shooting the basketball, Sexton was also responsible for a game-high eight turnovers. However, nights like this haven’t been the norm for Sexton, as he’s averaging 2.6 turnovers per game. As for Collier, he finished Wednesday’s loss with eight points, one rebound, two assists, one steal, two 3-pointers, and six turnovers in 23 minutes. This wasn’t a good night for the rookie, but those who added Collier recently should hold onto him.
  • OKC Shooting Guard #21
Aaron Wiggins tallied 10 points (4-of-7 FGs), four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 23 minutes in Wednesday’s win over Utah.
Thunder coach Mark Daigneault changed the starting lineup for Wednesday’s game, replacing Cason Wallace with Wiggins. Wiggins was solid in his 23 minutes, reaching double figures and finishing one blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. As for Wallace, he played 36 minutes off the bench and finished with 13 points, four rebounds, one assist, three steals, one block, and one 3-pointer. Regardless of who starts, Wallace is the superior fantasy option. However, Wiggins starting gives him an increased shot at achieving fantasy relevance.
  • OKC Small Forward #8
Jalen Williams accumulated 25 points (9-of-18 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), three rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes in Wednesday’s win over the Jazz.
Back in the lineup after sitting out Sunday’s win over the Nets with a strained hip, Williams scored an efficient 25 points against the Jazz. Over the past two weeks, J-Dub has provided 7th-round value in 9-cat formats. While that doesn’t approach his season-long value, there’s no need for fantasy managers to panic. Williams’ small “buy-low” window has likely closed with Wednesday’s performance.
  • OKC Point Guard #2
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander accounted for 54 points (17-of-35 FGs, 17-of-18 FTs), eight rebounds, five assists, two steals, two blocks, and three 3-pointers in 37 minutes in Wednesday’s 123-114 win over Utah.
Gilgeous-Alexander put on a show Wednesday night, notching his first 50-point game as a professional. The MVP candidate also recorded a complete stat line, once again showing off the skill set that makes him one of the best players in fantasy basketball. In another piece of good news for those who have Gilgeous-Alexander rostered, the Thunder play twice more during Week 13, starting with Dallas on Thursday.
  • CHA Point Guard #1
LaMelo Ball had 22 points (7-of-20 FGs), eight rebounds, six assists and two 3-pointers against the Grizzlies on Wednesday.
Ball wasn’t efficient shooting Wednesday as he was just 7-of-20 from the floor. The 23-year-old point guard was 2-of-6 from behind the 3-point line and made all six of his free throw attempts. His turnover issues also crept up in this game as he had four of them to just six assists. Ball is still a top-10 fantasy player in 8-category formats, which don’t include turnovers.
  • CHA Center #5
Mark Williams had 38 points (14-of-18 FGs), nine rebounds, five assists and one steal against the Grizzlies on Wednesday.
Williams absolutely went off Wednesday as he dropped 38 points against the Grizzlies. The 23-year-old center now has at least 30 points in two of his last four games. Williams only missed four shots from the field as he was 14-of-18 and added on 10-of-13 free throws. He also has at least eight rebounds in 14 of his last 15 games. Williams has been a fantasy monster since Nick Richards was traded.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #22
Desmond Bane had 24 points (10-of-15 FGs), two rebounds, eight assists, one block and four 3-pointers against the Hornets on Wednesday.
After a slow start to the season, Bane suddenly has scored at least 20 points in six straight games. Even with Ja Morant dishing out 13 assists of his own, Bane was able to record eight assists Wednesday against the Hornets. He also was efficient going 10-of-15 from the field including 4-of-7 from behind the 3-point line. Bane has been a top-50 fantasy player on the season, but he’s inside the top-10 over the last two weeks.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #10
Luke Kennard had 23 points (8-of-12 FGs), four rebounds, three assists, two steals and seven 3-pointers against the Hornets on Wednesday.
With Jake LaRavia out, Kennard played 26 minutes off the bench and saw a decent amount of usage. The 28-year-old shooting guard was feeling it from behind the 3-point line as he made 7-of-11 3-point attempts. Kennard only made one other basket from the field on his way to 23 points. He’s not rostered in most fantasy leagues, but he can be valuable when the Grizzlies are missing another guard.
