The Hawks have waived Cole Aldrich.
He’s expected to sign with a team in China, and this could be the end of Aldrich’s career in the NBA.
  • UTA Shooting Guard #33

Johnny Juzang (right thumb sprain) will not play against the Grizzlies on Wednesday.
Juzang won’t play a large role when Utah’s rotation is healthy this year, so this absence won’t impact fantasy basketball.
  • CHA Point Guard #3
DaQuan Jeffries (right hand fracture) will not play against the Rockets on Wednesday.
Jeffries was rerouted to Charlotte has part of the deal that sent Karl-Anthony Towns to New York. It’s unclear how long this fracture will keep him sidelined, but it won’t impact fantasy basketball.
  • CHA Small Forward #10
Josh Green (left Achilles soreness) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against Houston.
It’s unclear if Green will be available to make his regular season debut for the Hornets. If he is ruled out, Tre Mann or Cody Martin will likely fill the void in the starting unit. Mann is the more enticing streaming option in this scenario, though both guys will play extra minutes.
  • CHA Center #5
Mark Williams (left foot) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Rockets.
Unsurprisingly, Williams will miss the start of the season. He was reportedly out of the walking boot less than two weeks ago, but now there is no official timeline for his return to the court. This makes Nick Richards an enticing streaming option until the Hornets give a clearer update on Williams’ availability.
  • PHI Point Guard
Jared McCain (pulmonary contusion) is not on the injury report ahead of Wednesday’s game against the Bucks.
This is excellent news, since McCain had to be rushed to the hospital less than a week ago. He should be available to make his NBA debut on Wednesday, and he may play a few extra minutes with Paul George sidelined.
  • NOP Point Guard #15
Jose Alvarado (right knee contusion) is questionable to play against the Bulls on Wednesday.
Dejounte Murray and Zion Williamson are also questionable for this game, which means that New Orleans could end up being incredibly thin at point guard if all three questionable players end up missing the opener. CJ McCollum will be the starting ball handler, but Brandon Ingram may have to take over some playmaking duties to give McCollum a breather at times.
  • MIA Shooting Guard #0
Josh Richardson (left heel enthesopathy) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against Orlando.
  • ATL Center #15
Clint Capela (right ankle soreness) is not on the injury report ahead of Wednesday’s matchup with the Nets.
Capela injured his ankle during the preseason, but it isn’t bothering him enough to even be listed on the injury report. It’s unclear if Capela or Onyeka Okongwu will be the team’s starting center, but both players will play a significant role this season, with some Larry Nance minutes sprinkled in.
  • ATL Shooting Guard #3
Seth Lundy (left ankle sprain), Dominick Barlow (low back contusion) and Cody Zeller (now with team) have been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Nets.
None of these players will play enough when available to impact fantasy basketball, so their availability isn’t all that noteworthy.
  • IND Power Forward #22
Isaiah Jackson (right groin strain) is listed as questionable to play against the Pistons on Wednesday.
If Jackson is forced to miss the season opener, James Wiseman will likely fill as the backup center behind Myles Turner. Both young bigs will see time in that role this season, but Wiseman could see 15-20 minutes in this game if Jackson doesn’t play. However, that isn’t enough time to make him worth streaming with 10 games being played that day.
