John Lucas was solid off the bench once again on Wednesday, scoring 10 points to go along with five assists in 24 minutes. He chipped in two threes and a block as well.
That’s two straight quality performances from Lucas, who outplayed starter C.J. Watson on the evening. Coach Thibodeau isn’t likely to swap out Lucas for Watson but a timeshare could develop if Lucas continues to play well. Of course, Derrick Rose’s return will heavily impact this situation.

Jonathan Kuminga took a hard fall on his backside and went to the locker room in the second quarter of Sunday’s matchup with the Spurs.
Kuminga has appeared in eight straight games after missing two months, so this latest injury is certainly a concern. The Warriors are up 68-44 at halftime, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Golden State held Kuminga out for the rest of the game for precautionary reasons. Gui Santos could pick up a few extra minutes in his absence.
  • DET Small Forward #00
Ron Holland II and Marcus Sasser were ejected from Sunday’s game against the Timberwolves with 8:36 remaining in the second quarter.
A physical altercation broke out early in the second quarter of Sunday’s game after Holland’s foul on Timberwolves forward Naz Reid. Things had already gotten heated, with emotions boiling over in the form of an altercation that spilled into the stands. Holland finished with four points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal in seven minutes, while Sasser recorded three points, one rebound, two assists and one three-pointer in six minutes. The question heading into Week 22 is whether or not the league will suspend either player.
  • DET Center #28
Isaiah Stewart was ejected from Sunday’s game against the Timberwolves with 8:36 remaining in the second quarter.
Not long after being called for his 13th technical foul of the season, Stewart was ejected for his role in a fight that led to five players receiving their marching orders. Beef Stew played seven minutes, going scoreless with five rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot. His early exit means rotation minutes for Paul Reed, who may have deep-league value if the league suspends Stewart.
  • MIN Center #11
Naz Reid and Donte DiVincenzo were ejected from Sunday’s game against the Pistons with 8:36 remaining in the second quarter.
A wild fight broke out with 8:36 remaining in the second quarter, resulting in five players and multiple coaches being ejected. Reid finished two points, two rebounds and one assist in 10 minutes, while DiVincenzo tallied six points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and two three-pointers in 10 minutes. Jaylen Clark’s minutes will likely increase for the remainder of Sunday’s game, and the question for Week 22 is whether Reid or DiVincenzo will be suspended.
  • HOU Shooting Guard #15
Reed Sheppard (thumb) is available for Sunday’s game against the Suns.
Initially declared out for Sunday’s game, Sheppard will be available after missing a little under one month with an avulsion fracture in his right thumb. While the rookie being available is excellent news for the Rockets, Sheppard is unlikely to get the minutes needed to impact fantasy basketball.
  • DET Small Forward #12
Tobias Harris (Achilles) is a late scratch for Sunday’s matchup with the Timberwolves.
Harris’ status was announced nearly eight minutes after the game’s 7 p.m. ET tip-off, leaving fantasy managers without any recourse other than cursing their foul luck. Malik Beasley could join the starting five in Harris’ absence.
  • TOR Center #21
Jamal Shead, Ja’Kobe Walter, RJ Barrett, Scottie Barnes and Orlando Robinson will start Sunday’s game against the 76ers.
The Raptors are without Immanuel Quickley and Jakob Poeltl, resulting in Shead and Robinson moving into the starting lineup. The other change is Walter, whose inclusion on the starting lineup bumps Jamison Battle to the bench. Shead, Robinson and Walter are all worth streaming for Sunday’s action.
  • PHI Shooting Guard #14
Jared Butler, Lonnie Walker IV, Justin Edwards, Ricky Council IV and Adem Bona will start Sunday’s game against the Raptors.
The 76ers are without Quentin Grimes and Guerschon Yabusele, opening up two spots in the starting lineup. Walker and Council will fill the resulting voids, and both players are worth streaming in deep leagues. Also, Butler should play plenty since Jeff Dowtin Jr. is inactive.
  • CLE Center #4
Evan Mobley finished Sunday’s win over the Clippers with 22 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three blocks and three triples across 37 minutes.
Mobley returned from a one-game absence and turned in a 9/6/4 line on 3-of-10 shooting against the Pistons. He bounced back in a big way on Sunday, hitting 8-of-16 shots, including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc, and delivering some quality peripheral contributions. He and the Cavs get a brief respite before returning to the court for Wednesday’s primetime showdown with the Knicks.
  • OKC Small Forward #88
Alex Ducas (quad) is out for Monday’s game against the Bulls.
Ducas’s continued absence will not impact fantasy basketball, as he is not in the Thunder rotation.
