Rudy Fernandez (back) did not play in Friday’s game against the Rockets, and his target return date has been pushed back to Sunday’s game against the Spurs.
Fernandez has missed five straight games, and the medical staff thought it would be best to push his return back to Sunday against the Spurs. With Danilo Gallinari (ankle) seemingly close to a return, Fernandez’s upside is going to be capped even once healthy. George Karl said he has a good feeling that Rudy will play on Sunday.
  • GSW Point Guard #71

Dennis Schroder (left hip contusion) is available for Thursday’s game against the Pistons.
Schroder is available to play after being considered questionable on the initial injury report. He’ll occupy his usual place in the starting lineup, but the veteran point guard has offered little fantasy value since being traded to the Warriors.
  • DAL Center #21
Daniel Gafford (left ankle sprain) will play against the Trail Blazers on Thursday.
Despite Jason Kidd saying that Gafford would “likely miss some time” with this ankle injury, it will only end up being a one-game absence for him. Maxi Kleber took on extra minutes in their win over the Lakers, but he’ll take a hit with Gafford back in the mix.
  • OKC Point Guard #25
Ajay Mitchell (right great toe sprain) will not play in Friday’s game against the Knicks.
Injured during the Thunder’s win over New York on January 3, Mitchell will miss a third consecutive game. His absence frees up additional minutes for Cason Wallace and Isaiah Joe, who are already in the Thunder rotation. They’re both deep-league options at best.
  • WAS Center #00
Tristan Vukcevic (right ankle sprain) is out for Friday’s game against the Bulls.
Vukcevic has missed time this season due to knee and ankle injuries. His continued absence does not impact fantasy basketball, as he is not in the Wizards’ rotation when healthy.
  • MIL Shooting Guard #13
Ryan Rollins (illness) is questionable to play against the Magic on Friday.
Rollins has been a solid rotation piece for Milwaukee this season, but he hasn’t made much of a fantasy impact, outside of a few starts. With Damian Lillard healthy, Rollins’ status won’t impact fantasy basketball.
  • WAS Shooting Guard #1
Johnny Davis (illness) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Bulls.
Davis isn’t in the rotation when healthy, so his absence will not impact fantasy basketball. Leave him on the waiver wire.
  • GSW Small Forward #4
Moses Moody (left knee patellar tendinopathy) is out for Thursday’s game against the Pistons.
Moody’s absence leaves the Warriors without another perimeter contributor, as Brandin Podziemski and Gary Payton II were already ruled out. Lindy Waters III will likely play rotation minutes off the bench, but fantasy managers should not consider streaming him.
  • OKC Shooting Guard #9
Alex Caruso (left hip strain) will remain sidelined for Friday’s matchup with the Knicks.
This will be a ninth straight absence for Caruso, which means that Cason Wallace, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins should all continue to see a few extra minutes. It’s unclear when Caruso will return, but the team hasn’t given a timeline that would indicate that this is an extended absence.
  • GSW Power Forward #23
Draymond Green (left ankle sprain) is available for Thursday’s game against the Pistons.
Initially questionable for Thursday’s game, Green is available and will take on his usual responsibilities as part of the Warriors’ starting lineup. Kyle Anderson will miss out on a potential bump to his fantasy value, and even that would not have been enough to make him a worthwhile streaming risk.
  • GSW Point Guard #30
Stephen Curry (left knee inflammation) has been upgraded to available for Thursday’s matchup with the Pistons.
Curry was initially listed as questionable for this game, but he’ll be able to suit up once again. He had 31 points and eight 3-pointers in a loss to Miami on Tuesday, and he’ll look to keep that going in a matchup with the red-hot Pistons.
