According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, Bostjan Nachbar is hoping to return to the NBA for the 2011-12 season.
Nachbar signed on with the Turkish team Efes Pilsen back in 2009, but now he is hoping to return stateside and suit up in the NBA once again. Nachbar will be hoping to latch on with a team that needs depth at the forward position, and it should be intriguing to see what kind of interests his name drums up on the open market.

Davion Mitchell (right shoulder strain) has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Nets.
A few hours after Mitchell was announced as questionable for Thursday’s game, he has been officially ruled out. With Scottie Barnes returning from a sprained ankle, Mitchell’s absence will have a minimal impact on fantasy basketball. Jamal Shead may pick up a few more minutes, but he is not worth streaming in this spot.
  • BKN Power Forward #9
Trendon Watford (left hamstring soreness) is set to miss at least one week for the Brooklyn
It appears like Watford is set to miss at least four games due to his hamstring tightness. Noah Clowney will be among the players who’ll get more of a chance to dominate reserve forward minutes while he recovers.
  • TOR Small Forward #4
Scottie Barnes (right ankle sprain) will play against Brooklyn on Thursday.
Barnes will only end up missing two games despite seemingly suffering a serious ankle injury. They have avoided catastrophe, and Barnes should be back in the starting unit for this game, which will push rookie Jonathan Mogbo back to the bench.
  • BKN Small Forward #1
Ziaire Williams (left knee sprain) has progressed to on-court contact work and is expected to return to team activities next week.
Williams has missed the team’s last five games, but he’s inching closer to a return. He will miss Thursday’s game in Toronto and should be out against the Jazz on Saturday and likely against the Heat on Monday. Keon Johnson has been starting in his place and will likely be pushed to the bench when Williams returns.
  • BKN Shooting Guard #24
Cam Thomas (left hamstring strain) is progressing in his recovery and will be re-evaluated this weekend.
The Nets have been without Thomas since November 25, when he pulled up lame during the third quarter of a win over the Warriors. Given the update on when he’ll be re-evaluated, the Nets guard will likely miss at least two more games, which doesn’t include the potential need for ramp-up time. With Dennis Schroder no longer in the equation, Thomas’ fantasy value could skyrocket once he’s cleared to return.
  • DET Shooting Guard #23
Jaden Ivey (left knee inflammation) is out for Thursday’s game against the Jazz.
After being a late scratch for Monday’s win over the Heat, Ivey will remain sidelined on Thursday. Malik Beasley should get another start and is worth streaming whenever the Pistons are without Ivey or Cade Cunningham.
  • DET Small Forward #12
Tobias Harris (sprained right thumb) has been upgraded to available for Thursday’s matchup with the Jazz.
Harris was initially listed as probable after missing their last game with a thumb injury. He has now officially been cleared, and his return will likely push Ausar Thompson back to the bench. Thompson played well as a starter and will likely still play a significant reserve role.
  • DAL Point Guard #77
Luka Doncic (left heel contusion) is out for Thursday’s game against the Clippers.
After not practicing on Wednesday, Doncic has been ruled out for Thursday’s game. Multiple players stand to benefit regarding fantasy value, including PJ Washington, Naji Marshall, and Spencer Dinwiddie. While Washington is already rostered in most leagues, Marshall and Dinwiddie will have added value in deeper formats.
  • MIL Power Forward #34
Giannis Antetokounmpo (right patella tendinopathy) is probable for Friday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Antetokounmpo is once again listed as probable on an initial injury report. He should play against the Cavaliers, but his status for Saturday’s game against the struggling Wizards may be closer to questionable.
  • MIL Small Forward #22
Khris Middleton (illness) is probable for Friday’s game against Cleveland.
Middleton did not play in the Bucks’ most recent game, their win over the Thunder in Tuesday’s Emirates NBA Cup final. The probable tag for Friday suggests he’ll play against the Cavaliers, and fantasy managers should anticipate Middleton sitting out Saturday’s matchup with the Wizards. AJ Green and Gary Trent Jr. may see their minutes decrease on Friday, but Saturday will be their opportunity to take on a more significant workload.
