Cooper Flagg had 26 points (10-of-23 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, eight assists and two three-pointers in Wednesday’s 120-96 victory over the Thunder.

Flagg is averaging 25.3 points, 6.8 assists, 5.3 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 1.3 blocks through four games this year. The 19-year-old’s game Wednesday against the Thunder was even more impressive considering he also had zero turnovers. Easily the best young player in the league, Flagg may already have elevated himself into being part of the MVP conversation.

Hornets head coach Charles Lee said Friday that Kon Knueppel (hamstring) responded well after a recent practice with the Hornets’ G League affiliate.

Kneuppel, who suffered a hamstring strain before the preseason, is progressing toward making his 2026-27 debut. According to Lee, the second-year guard’s hamstring responded well after a recent G League practice. Next, Knueppel needs to acclimate to his teammates after the Hornets return from their road trip, which ends on Friday. Knueppel doesn’t have an exact return timeline, but managers stashing him in an IL spot should begin planning for that day.

Tre Johnson (Achilles) will play on Friday against the Charlotte Hornets.

Tre Johnson missed last game against the Cavaliers due to Achilles soreness during warmups. He should go right back into his role as a bench scorer with Middleton taking a smaller role.

76ers head coach Nick Nurse said that Dean Wade will likely start Friday’s game against the Knicks.

The 76ers won’t have Jaylen Brown for Friday’s game, as he’s been ruled out with a knee injury. Wade, who was assigned to defend Jaylen Brunson at times while with the Cavaliers, is likely the replacement in the starting lineup. That raises his ceiling slightly as a streamer, but Kentavious Caldwell-Pope should also see more playing time.

Dennis Schröder (foot) is available for Friday’s game against the Celtics.

Initially questionable for Friday’s game, Schröder is officially available. He’ll continue as the Hornets’ starting point guard, with Sion James and Christian Anderson Jr. also having opportunities to initiate offense.

Patrick Williams (adductor) is available for Friday’s game against the Celtics.

Williams, who participated in the pregame shootaround, is available to make his first appearance of the season. However, he was a DNP-CD in Chicago’s first two games, so the former lottery pick is not guaranteed to log minutes.

Dailyn Swain (back) is out for Friday’s game against the Celtics.

Swain’s absence won’t affect fantasy basketball or the Bulls’ rotation, as he’s appeared in just one game this season.

Jaylen Brown (knee) is out for Friday’s game against the Knicks.

Friday’s game will be the first that Brown has missed this season. His absence likely means more minutes for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Dean Wade, with one moving into the starting lineup.

Tobe Awaka (ankle) is available for Friday’s game against the Celtics.

Awaka was not available for Wednesday’s loss to the Knicks. The rookie’s availability is unlikely to affect the Bulls’ rotation, as Zach Collins was a DNP-CD the last time out.

Jalen Smith (finger) is available for Friday’s game against the Celtics.

Smith is good to go after being listed as questionable on the Bulls’ initial injury report. He’ll remain the starting center because of Nic Claxton’s hamstring injury.
