Brandon Miller led the Hornets with 34 points (10-of-29 FGs, 11-of-12 FTs), seven rebounds, four assists, one block and three three-pointers in a 115-110 win over the Heat on Saturday.

Miller has been the focal point of the offense for Charlotte early on this year, which gives him a green light to shoot often. He is averaging 21.3 shot attempts per game this season, and while he still isn’t shooting efficiently, he was able to pour in the points in this one. The difference in this game was the free throw rate. He shot three total free throws in their first two games, far less than his 12 attempts in this one. Miller is going to continue to get as many shots as he wants until Kon Knueppel (hamstring) returns. He should be in for more big scoring nights, especially when his shot starts falling at a higher rate.

The Dan Le Batard Show talks about the Miami Heat's disappointing start to the season and whether Bam Adebayo and Giannis Antetokounmpo can lift the Heat out of this early funk.

Aaron Nesmith (hamstring) is available for Monday’s game against the Bucks.

Nesmith being able to play both games of a back-to-back so soon after missing time with a strained hamstring is encouraging. He’ll fill his usual role in the Pacers’ starting lineup, but the fantasy upside is limited.

Marcus Smart (forearm) is now day-to-day with strain.

Speaking to media ahead of the Rockets contest vs. the Hawks, head coach Ime Udoka says Smart is day-to-day, but is hopeful the guard will return to the lineup on Wednesday vs. the Bucks.

Rockets head coach Ime Udoka said he expects Steven Adams (calf) to “miss a week or two” after undergoing imaging on his calf.

Adams missed Saturday’s game against Atlanta and had already been ruled out for Monday’s rematch. However, it looks like he’s going to miss at least a few more games. Clint Capela filled out the backup center minutes on Saturday and should remain in that role over the next handful of games. Capela contributed two points, three rebounds and an assist in their last game against the Hawks.

Andrew Nembhard (neck) is out for Monday’s game against the Bucks.

Nembhard will sit out the second game of Indiana’s back-to-back with a stiff neck. His absence opens up a spot in the Pacers’ starting lineup, with Kelly Oubre Jr. being a potential replacement. Nembhard’s absence may also result in more minutes for Quenton Jackson.

Cooper Flagg (shoulder) is available for Monday’s game against the Heat.

Flagg is good to go after a left shoulder injury suffered on Friday sidelined him for Saturday’s loss to the Spurs. His return will bump Zaccharie Risacher to the bench.

Nic Claxton (hamstring) went through an individual on-court workout on Monday.

Claxton injured his hamstring in early October, missing the entire preseason and Chicago’s first three regular-season games. He completed an individual workout on Monday, and the hope is that the Bulls’ center can resume practicing with the team next week. Jalen Smith should remain the starting center until Claxton is healthy enough to play.

Dylan Cardwell (calf) will be re-evaluated in seven days.

Cardwell strained his left calf late in the preseason and hasn’t played in any of the Kings’ regular-season games. He’ll miss another week before being re-evaluated, and the Kings will remain down three frontcourt contributors for now. In addition to Cardwell, the Kings are without Keegan Murray (ankle) and Maxime Raynaud (knee). That has opened the door for Jonathan Mogbo to play rotation minutes off the bench.

Cason Wallace will undergo surgery to to repair a left labrum tear.

Wallace had already been ruled out for Monday’s game following an early exit on Sunday, but it now appears the injury is going to keep him sidelined a while longer. The hits just keep coming for OKC, with Jalen Williams (leg) set to have surgery as well. Ajay Mitchell and Jared McCain will both take on significant roles until Wallace and/or Williams return.
