Matisse Thybulle accounted for 13 points (5-of-8 FGs), one rebound, two assists, two steals, one block and three three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Clippers.

Could Thybulle return to relevance in fantasy basketball with the Lakers? His defense earned the veteran wing a starting spot, and he played well on both ends of the floor in Friday’s win. In addition to his three defensive contributions, Thybulle shot 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. He’s a career 34.9 percent shooter from deep, so managers shouldn’t expect high-level production there. However, the starting role makes Thybulle someone to watch, especially in deep leagues.

P.J. Washington lit up the Heat with 20 points (6-of-15 FGs), nine rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and four three-pointers on Monday.

Washington has been a solid source of offense for Dallas early on this season. This was his second 20-point game of the season, and he has averaged 15.5 points and 2.0 triples per game thus far. He has been a decent source of steals in years past, and he finally got his first two of the season in this game. That number should regulate, allowing him to be a better fantasy producer moving forward.

Cooper Flagg (shoulder) returned to the lineup on Monday and finished with 29 points (12-of-23 FGs), six rebounds, 11 assists, four steals, two blocks, two three-pointers and five turnovers in a 113-109 win over the Heat.

The initial expectation was that this would be a multi-game absence for Flagg. However, it only ended up being one game on the sidelines for him, and he returned in a big way in this game. The only knock on Flagg so far this season has been the high turnover numbers, but he has been truly fantastic in every other category. Of course, the sample size is small, but if he continues to produce at this level, he will have absolutely been worth taking in the first round of fantasy drafts.

Anthony Edwards accounted for 47 points (19-of-33 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), four rebounds, four assists, one steal, two blocks and five three-pointers in Monday’s loss to the Cavaliers.

Initially questionable for Monday’s game due to right knee injury management, Edwards played 41 of a possible 53 minutes in the overtime defeat. He was lethal inside the arc, shooting 14-of-18 from two. Edwards hit just 5-of-15 from three, but his mid-range and paint scoring boosted his overall field-goal percentage. The Timberwolves star now has two of the NBA’s top four scoring nights this season, with Luka Dončić’s 52-point effort against the Jazz at the top.

Jaden McDaniels finished Monday’s loss to the Cavaliers with 14 points (6-of-9 FGs), six rebounds, three assists and two three-pointers.

While McDaniels had a good offensive night, he recorded no defensive stats and fouled out with 1:12 left in overtime. Given how well he played in Minnesota’s first three games, fantasy managers currently rostering McDaniels have nothing to worry about. He’ll look to be more productive when the Timberwolves host the Warriors on Wednesday.

James Harden produced 22 points (8-of-18 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, nine assists, two steals and four three-pointers in Monday’s win over the Timberwolves.

After scoring two points on 1-of-6 shooting in the first half, Harden stepped up in the second half. He scored 20 points after halftime, 15 of them in the third and fourth quarters. Harden scored five of Cleveland’s 14 points in overtime, helping the Cavaliers hand Minnesota its first loss of the season.

Peyton Watson accumulated 15 points (5-of-13 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), eight rebounds, one assist, three steals and four blocks in Monday’s win over the Timberwolves.

After two quiet outings to begin his time with the Cavaliers, Watson had his best all-around performance on Monday. While the field-goal percentage may not have been as high as some fantasy managers would hope, the rebounds, steals and blocks were a great way for Watson to begin Week 2.

Donovan Mitchell accounted for 26 points (10-of-21 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), five rebounds, seven assists, two steals, one block and five three-pointers in Monday’s win over the Timberwolves.

Cleveland had the “rest advantage” for Monday’s game, as Minnesota played the day prior, and that may have eventually caught up to the Timberwolves. Mitchell scored 12 of his 26 points in the second half, including seven in the fourth quarter. Shooting 5-of-9 from beyond the arc, Spida finished with a complete stat line in the 127-125 overtime win, a good start to Week 2.

Lauri Markkanen (wrist) ruled out vs. Grizzles

Markkanen’s wrist looked to bend backwards going through a screen, and shortly afterwards headed to the locker room. This is something worth monitoring over the next few days, with the Jazz’s next game on Wednesday against the Spurs.

Moussa Diabaté recorded a double-double on Monday with 11 points (4-of-6 FGs), 17 rebounds, three assists, one steal and three blocks against the Wizards.

It has been a relatively quiet start to the season for Diabaté, but he was able to showcase just how good he is as a rebounder in this one. This was the third-highest rebounding total he’s had in a single game, which contributed to Charlotte’s third win of the season. Diabaté should continue to be a beast on the glass, and any other contributions in other categories are just icing on the cake.

Jaren Jackson (knee) will not return vs. Grizzles

Jackson was hit in the knee during Monday’s contest against the Grizzles and went to the locker room afterwards. Fantasy manager should keep an eye out to see the forwards status for Wednesday’s tilt vs. the Spurs.
