Osvaldo Bido allowed eight runs with two strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in a loss against the Rangers on Tuesday.
The Rangers put two runs on the board against Bido with a walk, two hits, and a sacrifice fly in the first inning. Wyatt Langford then took him deep for a solo homer to lead off the third inning. Josh Smith added a run with a solo shot in the fifth before Marcus Semien piled on with a three-run blast. The barrage continued into the sixth with Jake Burger adding a solo homer before Bido was relieved with one out at 91 pitches. The 29-year-old right-hander saw his ERA rise from 2.61 to 4.85 with a 1.58 WHIP and a 16/10 K/BB ratio across 26 innings. He’ll take on the White Sox in Sacramento on Sunday.

Blue Jays sent LHP Ryan Borucki outright to Triple-A Buffalo.
The 31-year-old southpaw was removed from the Jays’ active and 40-man roster earlier in the week to make room for rookie sensation Trey Yesavage. He passed through waivers unclaimed though and will continue to function as extra bullpen depth at the Triple-A level.
Fantasy fallout of Alvarez's ankle injury
Eric Samulski breaks down the fantasy implications of Yordan Alvarez suffering a "significant" ankle sprain and the expectation that he will miss the remainder of the regular season.
  • LAD Relief Pitcher #64
Dodgers re-signed RHP Matt Sauer to a minor league contract.
The Dodgers released the 26-year-old hurler last week, but after he explored the open market, he decided that it was in his best interest to return to the club on a minor league deal. Sauer has struggled to a 6.37 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and a 24/8 K/BB ratio over 29 2/3 innings in 10 appearances with the Dodgers on the season.
  • FA Starting Pitcher #21
    Diamondbacks released RHP Anthony DeSclafani.
The 35-year-old righthander made 13 appearances (four starts) for the Diamondbacks, posting a 5.12 ERA over his 38 2/3 innings of work. He’s now free to peddle his wares on the open market if he so chooses.
  • ATL Relief Pitcher #49
Braves transferred LHP Aaron Bummer to the 60-day injured list.
Nothing has changed in the prognosis for the 31-year-old southpaw — who will miss the reset of the season with inflammation in his pitching shoulder — this was done as a procedural move to free up a spot on the team’s 40-man roster for the addition of Brett Wisely on Thursday.
  • ATL 2nd Baseman #0
Braves claimed INF Brett Wisely off of waivers from the Giants and optioned him to Triple-A Gwinnett.
Wisely had been designated for assignment on Monday. The 26-year-old infielder slashed a disappointing .208/.269/.354 with one homer, 10 RBI and one swipe in 54 plate appearances with the Giants this season. He’ll add infield depth for the Braves.
  • LAA Relief Pitcher #74
Angels’ closer Kenley Jansen told reporters on Thursday that he will not be traveling with the team for their weekend series against the Rockies in Colorado.
Jansen has routinely skipped series in Colorado due to his heart condition in recent years and with the Angels having nothing to play for at this stage of the season there’s no reason for him to risk it by going there. Look for Luis Garcia to potentially fill in should the Angels have a lead to protect in the ninth inning over the weekend.
  • MIA Shortstop #9
Xavier Edwards (wrist) missed his fifth consecutive game on Thursday afternoon against the Rockies.
The good news is that Edwards underwent imaging on his injured wrist on Wednesday that didn’t show any structural damage. He’s still considered day-to-day, but it sounds like the Marlins are optimistic that he’ll be able to rejoin the lineup at some point over the weekend.
  • LAD 2nd Baseman #25
Tommy Edman is not in the Dodgers’ starting lineup for Thursday night’s tilt against the Giants.
It’s the third time in the Dodgers’ last six games that Edman has found himself on the bench. Miguel Rojas will start in his place at second base and will bat eighth for the Dodgers on Thursday evening against Logan Webb and the Giants.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher #66
Angels recalled LHP Sam Aldegheri from Triple-A Salt Lake.
The 23-year-old southpaw will get another opportunity with the Angels now that José Soriano (forearm) landed on the 15-day injured list. What’s not immediately clear is whether Aldegheri will work out of the Halos’ bullpen or if he’ll fill in the next time Soriano’s spot comes around in the rotation on Tuesday against the Royals. Aldegheri holds a 3.78 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and a 113/60 K/BB ratio over 133 1/3 innings over 24 starts between Double-A Rocket City and Triple-A Salt Lake on the season.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher #59
Angels placed RHP José Soriano on the 15-day injured list with a right forearm contusion.
Soriano was struck by a 107-mph line drive during Wednesday’s start against the Brewers. Though X-rays came back negative for any fractures, he’s still dealing with a contusion and wasn’t going to be able to make his next scheduled start, so he’ll finish the year on the injured list. The 26-year-old wraps his 2025 campaign with a 10-11 record, 4.26 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and a 152/78 K/BB ratio over 169 innings in 31 starts.
