  • MIA Relief Pitcher #38

Jesus Tinoco fired a perfect ninth inning on Monday against the Reds to collect his second save of the season.
Tinoco got the call to protect a three-run advantage in the final frame with both Anthony Bender and Calvin Faucher likely unavailable after both throwing over 20 pitches during Sunday’s series finale against the Phillies. He got Jake Fraley and Noelvi Marte to fly out before coaxing a game-ending pop up from Jose Trevino.

Diamondbacks activated LHP Andrew Saalfrank from the restricted list; optioned him to Triple-A Reno.
Saalfrank returned earlier this week on Thursday from a one-year suspension for violating the league’s gambling policy. The 27-year-old southpaw will remain with the organization as extra relief depth.
Fantasy impact of Mets SS Lindor breaking his toe
James Schiano shares the latest news regarding star shortstop Francisco Lindor, who is day-to-day after breaking his toe, also explaining how the injury will affect Luisangel Acuña, Ronny Mauricio and fantasy managers.
  • ARI Catcher #14
X-rays came back negative for any fractures in Gabriel Moreno’s right hand.
It’s a positive development for the Diamondbacks as losing Moreno for an extended period would’ve put some strain on their catching situation. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo told reporters postgame that Moreno’s removal was for precautionary reasons due to swelling that occurred after he was struck by a wild pitch in his throwing hand. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #36
Logan Gilbert (elbow) will make another minor league rehab start.
The biggest takeaway here for fantasy managers is that Gilbert won’t be returning to Seattle’s rotation next week. There isn’t an exact date for his third rehab outing yet, but it figures to take place on Tuesday at one of the club’s minor league affiliates. The 28-year-old fantasy ace threw 60 pitches on Wednesday in his latest rehab start, and dealt with some diminished velocity over the course of that outing, which is presumably why he’s being given another tune-up before returning to Seattle.
  • NYY Shortstop #11
Anthony Volpe has been diagnosed with a left elbow contusion after X-rays came back negative for any fractures.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed that an additional CT scan didn’t reveal any structural damage after the 24-year-old shortstop was hit by a pitch during Friday’s showdown against the Red Sox. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. He’ll likely get some time off to allow the pain and swelling to subside, but he figures to avoid a trip to the injured list.
  • ATH 1st Baseman #16
Nick Kurtz (hip) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Saturday with Triple-A Las Vegas.
Kurtz is aiming to return to the Athletics’ lineup for Monday’s showdown against the division-rival Angels. The 22-year-old top prospect has been on the shelf since late May recovering from a hip flexor strain.
  • CWS Catcher #8
Kyle Teel went 1-for-2 with a run scored and a pair of walks on Friday in his major-league debut against the Royals.
Teel drew a walk in his first career plate appearance before notching his first big-league hit in the third inning with a line-drive single to left field against Royals veteran Seth Lugo. The 23-year-old top prospect was the centerpiece of the Garrett Crochet trade (although fantasy managers will likely be making an argument for Braden Montgomery in a couple years) and figures to split the catching duties for Chicago with fellow highly-touted prospect Edgar Quero.
  • COL Shortstop #8
Ryan Ritter went 1-for-4 with a triple on Friday against the Mets in his major-league debut.
Ritter earned his first call-up to the big leagues on Friday night after being one of the hottest hitters in the minors over the past few weeks at Triple-A Albuquerque. The 24-year-old middle infielder, who has 16 round-trippers in 52 games this season at the Triple-A level, is worthy of consideration for a roster spot in extremely deep leagues. He’ll get a chance to prove he belongs in the big leagues while Ezequiel Tovar (oblique) is on the shelf for the next couple weeks.
  • SD 2nd Baseman #4
Luis Arraez (knee) went 1-for-3 with an RBI on Friday against the Brewers in his return to the lineup.
Arraez was at DH for Friday’s series opener after making an early exit from Thursday’s contest against the Giants with left knee soreness. The 28-year-old will likely be limited from playing the field for a couple days, but it doesn’t appear that he’s in any danger of requiring a trip to the injured list.
  • SD Shortstop #2
Xander Bogaerts (shoulder) went 1-for-3 with a walk on Friday in his return to the lineup.
Bogaerts returned for Friday’s series opener in Milwaukee after being held out of Thursday’s showdown against the Giants with left shoulder soreness. The fact that he’s already back in San Diego’s lineup is an extremely encouraging development since he missed nearly two months last season due to a shoulder issue.
  • LAA Right Fielder #12
Jorge Soler (groin) went 1-for-4 with a run scored on Friday in a win over the Mariners.
Soler made it back for Friday’s series opener in Seattle after making a precautionary early exit from Wednesday’s contest against the Red Sox with groin tightness. It doesn’t seem like a massive concern going forward.
