Mason Miller struck out the side to get a save in the Athletics’ 3-1 win over the White Sox on Wednesday.
Another dominant effort from Miller, who has yet to give up a run in 2025. The 26-year-old now has five saves on the season and needed just 12 pitches to fan the side during Wednesday’s. Miller is a special talent, and even if he won’t get the save chances of some other players because of who he plays for, he still could be the best fantasy reliever in baseball. It’s very easy to imagine, in fact.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Tyler Glasnow (shoulder) has yet to progress to throwing bullpen sessions.
Not good. Roberts added that Glasnow’s body is not responding as hoped and he remains limited to flat-ground throwing after experiencing some general soreness following last week’s bullpen session. There’s plenty of historical evidence to suggest that shoulder issues are extremely problematic for pitchers relative to other physical issues. At this point, fantasy managers shouldn’t anticipate Glasnow returning until the second half considering he’ll need to essentially build up his arm strength and stamina from scratch once he’s able to resume throwing bullpen sessions.
Abel, Young among top Week 11 waiver-wire targets
Eric Samulski examines the top fantasy baseball waiver-wire targets for Week 11, highlighting Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Mick Abel and Seattle Mariners infielder Cole Young.

Justin Verlander (pectoral) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Tuesday at Oracle Park.
The Giants are going to give former top prospect Kyle Harrison another start on Wednesday against the Padres before determining their next move. Verlander figures to be an option to return early next week from the injured list, assuming he makes it through upcoming throwing sessions without any issues. The 42-year-old former ace hit the shelf back in mid-May with a pectoral strain.
  • ATL Designated Hitter #20
Atlanta general manager Alex Anthopoulos confirmed on Monday that Marcell Ozuna is playing through a hip tear.
Anthopoulos added that it’s going to be an ongoing factor for the remainder of the year and that he’ll need to continue managing the issue. Ozuna missed a couple games back in mid-April to undergo further testing after experiencing hip inflammation, but wasn’t believed to be dealing with anything significant. The fact that he hasn’t missed any additional time is pretty remarkable, but it’s a situation that fantasy managers will need to monitor closely. The ongoing issue hasn’t greatly impacted the 34-year-old slugger’s on-field performance of late since he’s hitting .321 (17-for-53) with four homers over his last 15 games.
  • SD 1st Baseman #30
Gavin Sheets (head) is not in the lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Giants.
Sheets told reporters he passed concussion-related tests and expects to avoid a trip to the injured list, adding that he’s available off the bench on Monday evening. The 29-year-old slugger appears to have avoided serious injury following a scary-looking incident on Sunday when he collided full-speed with the left-field wall. He’ll get some extra time off to rest and recover, but it seems like he’ll be ready to return for Tuesday’s showdown.
  • LAD Right Fielder #50
Mookie Betts (toe) remains out of the lineup for Monday’s showdown against the Mets.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Betts is available to pinch-hit later in the contest, if necessary. The 32-year-old fantasy superstar progressed to running the bases and also went through defensive drills prior to Monday’s series opener at Dodger Stadium with the aim of being ready for Tuesday’s contest. He’s been out of the lineup for four consecutive games since suffering a fractured toe last week in an off-field incident at his home. It’ll be rookie Hyeseong Kim filling in at shortstop again on Monday night in his absence.
  • BAL Left Fielder #17
Orioles activated OF Colton Cower from the 60-day injured list.
Cowser will make his return to Baltimore’s lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Mariners at T-Mobile Park after missing just over nine weeks when he fractured his left thumb on an ill-advised head-first slide into first base back on March 30. The 25-year-old was one of the more impactful young outfielders in the fantasy landscape last year when he delivered a 24-homer, nine-steal rookie campaign to finish second in AL Rookie of the Year Award balloting. Fantasy managers should make sure he’s back in lineups this week, especially with series against the Mariners and Athletics on tap.
  • BAL Left Fielder #67
Orioles designated OF Cooper Hummel for assignment.
Hummel loses his spot on Baltimore’s active roster with Colton Cowser returning from the injured list for Tuesday’s series opener in Seattle. The 30-year-old got into exactly one game for the Orioles, striking out in his lone plate appearance. It’s a bit jarring that he’s been designated for assignment more times than the number of games he actually appeared in for Baltimore.
  • SF Right Fielder #59
Giants activated OF Jerar Encarnacion from the 60-day injured list.
Encarnacion returns to San Francisco’s outfield mix ahead of Monday’s series opener against the division-rival Padres after missing the first two months of the season recovering from a left hand fracture. The 27-year-old’s all-or-nothing approach leads to plenty of strikeouts, but the astronomical over-the-fence pop is very real. He’s worthy of a speculative roster spot for fantasy managers searching for a cheap power source in deeper mixed leagues.
  • SF Center Fielder #29
Giants optioned OF Luis Matos to Triple-A Sacramento.
It qualifies as a mild surprise that Matos is the corresponding move to get slugger Jerar Encarnacion back from the injured list. The decision implies that the club isn’t considering moving on from LaMonte Wade Jr. at first base quite yet and will utilize Encarnacion in more of a corner outfield capacity.
  • LAD Relief Pitcher #35
Dodgers acquired RHP Will Klein from the Mariners for LHP Joe Jacques.
Klein becomes the latest contestant thrown into the Dodgers seemingly endless carousel of middle relievers. The 25-year-old was jettisoned by Seattle over the weekend without ever making an appearance for the club. He posted a calamitous 11.05 ERA across 7 1/3 innings (eight appearances) last year between the Royals and Athletics.
