Blue Jays placed OF Nathan Lukes on the Paternity List.
Lukes should be back on Friday. The 30-year-old has hit .167/.310/.208 in 29 plate appearances while helping to fill in for Daulton Varsho. Myles Straw might now get whatever at-bats Lukes was going to see over the next couple of days.
  • LAD 2nd Baseman #8

Dodgers placed INF/OF Enrique Hernández on the 10-day injured list with left elbow inflammation.
Hernández has seen an uptick in playing time since Max Muncy hit the injured list with a bone bruise in his left knee, but he’s going to miss a couple weeks. The versatile 33-year-old figures to return at some point in the early stages of the second half.
Why Henriquez and Gelof are waiver wire targets
Eric Samulski claims that Marlins' Ronny Henriquez and Athletics' Zack Gelof are two potential waiver wire targets, explaining why each could be added to any league type.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #70
Dodgers optioned LHP Justin Wrobleski to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Wrobleski heads back to the minors after getting blasted for five runs – four earned – over 4 2/3 innings on Saturday in a bulk relief outing against the Dodgers. The. 24-year-old lefty holds a respectable 4.50 ERA and 40/10 K/BB ratio across 40 innings (eight appearances, two starts) this season in the big leagues. He’ll operate in a swingman-type role in the second half when he gets another shot.
  • CWS Relief Pitcher #57
White Sox signed RHP Kyle Tyler to a minor league contract.
Tyler augments Chicago’s starting pitching depth at Triple-A Charlotte. The well-traveled 28-year-old righty hasn’t pitched in the majors since making eight appearances (seven starts) last year for Miami. He’s compiled a serviceable 4.19 ERA across 66 2/3 innings (14 appearances, 12 starts) this season at the Triple-A level between the Phillies and Orioles organizations.
  • MIL Shortstop #3
Joey Ortiz is out of the lineup on Monday against the Dodgers.
Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy told reporters Ortiz is taking a seat for the second straight game to help clean up some of his swing decisions. The 26-year-old shortstop is hitting .209/.269/.306 with six homers and nine steals in 87 games leading up to the All-Star break.
  • CWS Center Fielder #88
Luis Robert Jr. (hamstring) is likely to be activated from the injured list at some point this week.
Nothing official from the White Sox, but it sounds like Robert could make it back prior to next week’s All-Star break. The 27-year-old center fielder hit the injured list back in late June with a mild left hamstring strain.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #21
Hunter Greene (groin) has been scratched from Tuesday’s scheduled minor league rehab start for Triple-A Louisville due to renewed discomfort.
Ugh. Greene underwent further testing, including an MRI, on Monday after experiencing renewed discomfort in his groin area. The hard-throwing 25-year-old righty was getting close to making it back to Cincinnati’s rotation by the end of July, but that’s now on hold. This latest development certainly qualifies as a setback. There should be some official clarity on his status at some point later this week.
  • FA Right Fielder #23
Rangers OF Billy McKinney has elected free agency.
McKinney will head to the open market after passing through waivers unclaimed and refusing an outright assignment to Triple-A Round Rock. The 30-year-old journeyman was up last week as a temporary replacement while Evan Carter was away from the club on the bereavement list.
  • CWS 3rd Baseman #43
White Sox recalled INF Tristan Gray from Triple-A Charlotte.
Gray receives the call to join Chicago’s bench mix, replacing an injured Ryan Noda (quad), ahead of Monday’s game against the Blue Jays. The 29-year-old infielder was added to the club’s 40-man roster over the weekend. He’s gotten into 36 games between three different organizations at the highest level since 2023.
  • CWS 1st Baseman #29
White Sox placed 1B Ryan Noda on the 10-day injured list with a right quad strain.
Noda will be out through next week’s All-Star break. The 29-year-old first baseman has occupied a bench role for Chicago over the last few weeks, hitting .088 (3-for-34) with one homer over 16 games.
  • MIA 2nd Baseman #6
Otto Lopez is on the bench for Monday’s series opener against the Reds.
It’s an extremely rare off day for Lopez, who has been a fixture in the heart of Miami’s lineup this season. Rookie Javier Sanoja will take over at shortstop on Monday night. The 26-year-old middle infielder could probably use a break since he’s gone ice-cold over the last week, hitting .154 (4-for-26) over his last seven games. He’s been a strong fantasy contributor this season as he’s up to a career-high nine home runs and has also chipped in nine steals through 73 games.
