Shane Baz allowed five runs in five innings and took the loss against the Dodgers on Friday.
Baz gave up eight hits, walked two and struck out eight. Friday’s outing was a bit of a mixed bag for Baz, who struck out eight batters, but allowed multiple runs in the first and fourth innings. The 26-year-old right-hander then allowed a solo home run to Freddie Freeman in the fifth inning. Baz has a 4.79 ERA and 124/46 K/BB ratio in 124 innings this year. He’s lined up to face the Angels on the road next week.
