Luis Campusano went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, three RBI, and three runs scored for Triple-A El Paso on Sunday.
The 26-year-old has started the season 17-for-43 (.395) with three home runs, nine RBI, and 13 runs scored. He also has a solid 9:7 K:BB ratio in 12 games. Meanwhile, Elias Diaz has gone 7-for-30 at the big league level for the Padres. A change may not be imminent, but Diaz will need to start hitting if he’s going to hold off Campusano for much longer.

Yankees placed RHP Luke Weaver on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 1, with a left hamstring strain.
Weaver, who was hurt warming up during Sunday’s game, is expected to miss 4-6 weeks, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan. Devin Williams is slated to return to the closer’s role for the Yankees. He has a 3.29 ERA and a 20/5 K/BB in 13 2/3 innings since being replaced by Weaver in late April. Ironically, he earned his one save during the span in one of the two outings in which he allowed runs.
Betting Ohtani, Judge in home run leader market
Vaughn Dalzell and Brad Thomas explain why they're still riding with Aaron Judge to win the home run crown in 2025 but are keeping close tabs on Shohei Ohtani.
  • NYY Relief Pitcher #63
Yankees activated RHP Fernando Cruz from the 15-day injured list.
Cruz missed the minimum with shoulder inflammation. He could be the top fallback in the closer’s role for the Yankees if Devin Williams struggles to get the job done.
  • NYY Relief Pitcher #73
Yankees recalled RHP Yerry de los Santos from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
De los Santos is back in the majors just two days after being demoted. He has a 3.00 ERA in 12 innings out of the Yankees pen this season.
  • NYY Starting Pitcher #59
Yankees designated RHP Carlos Carrasco for assignment.
Carrasco, who had a 5.91 ERA over 32 innings during his first stint with the Yankees, didn’t pitch during his one day on the roster this time around. He should clear waivers and likely will remain in the organization.
  • NYY Center Fielder #13
Yankees activated INF Jazz Chisholm Jr. from the 10-day injured list.
Exclusively a second baseman this season before suffering an oblique strain on Apr. 29, Chisholm is expected to play third base now, with DJ LeMahieu staying at second. He started at the hot corner twice and DH once while going 3-for-9 with a steal on his rehab assignment.
  • NYY 2nd Baseman #90
Yankees optioned INF Jorbit Vivas to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Pablo Reyes survives Jazz Chisholm Jr.'s return. Vivas has played much more than Reyes, but he was hitting .156/.255/.267 in 53 plate appearances and had lost time to DJ LeMahieu lately. He’ll return to starting regularly in Triple-A.
  • ARI Starting Pitcher #39
Diamondbacks placed RHP Corbin Burnes on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 2, with right elbow inflammation.
Burnes, who was hurt during his start Sunday, is getting a second opinion on his elbow after initial tests failed to produce a definitive diagnosis. Ryne Nelson is taking his spot in the Arizona rotation. Burnes is 3-2 with a 2.66 ERA in 11 turns this season. He missed one start last month due to shoulder inflammation.
  • ARI Starting Pitcher #47
Diamondbacks recalled LHP Tommy Henry from Triple-A Reno.
Henry gets the call in spite of a 7.39 ERA in 10 starts for Reno. He’ll pitch in middle relief for now. The 27-year-old has a career ERA of 5.03 in 32 starts and four relief appearances for Arizona.
  • HOU 1st Baseman #9
Zach Dezenzo was diagnosed with a capsule sprain in his left hand and will be reevaluated in two weeks.
It sounds like Dezenzo might miss the entire month of June. That’s good news for Cam Smith and those rostering him. Dezenzo was batting .245/.321/.367 in 109 plate appearances before hurting his hand Saturday.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #49
Mariners re-signed RHP Jesse Hahn to a minor league contract.
Hahn became a free agent after being outrighted last week, but he clearly didn’t find the market to his liking. The 35-year-old righty allowed three earned runs in five innings for the Mariners last month in his first MLB action since 2021.
