Félix Bautista struck out one batter in a scoreless ninth inning to record the save against the Blue Jays on Saturday.
Bautista finally got a save chance for the Orioles on Saturday as no Baltimore reliever had recorded a save going into the day. He pitched through some shaky control with two walks, striking out the final batter for his first save of the season.

Giants selected the contract of LHP Scott Alexander from Triple-A Sacramento.
Alexander was signed by the Giants after being released by the Rockies in June. The southpaw will be a middle-inning option with Erik Miller placed on the injured list with an elbow sprain.
Hold Muncy if placed on injured list
Eric Samulski advises fantasy managers to "hold" Max Muncy if placed on the injured list, who has produced in a big way since the beginning of May, and discusses the outlook for Dodgers' call-up Esteury Ruiz.

Giants placed LHP Erik Miller on the 10-day injured list with a left elbow sprain.
Miller will be out through at least the All-Star break, but there’s a good chance this will require more than just a two-week stint on the shelf. He’ll recover while Scott Alexander takes his spot on the roster.
  • NYM 1st Baseman #20
Pete Alonso homered twice to drive in five runs Saturday as the Mets doubled up the Yankees 12-6.
Alonso had a two-run homer off Carlos Rodón in the fifth and then a three-run shot off Jayvien Sandridge that pretty much put the game away in the seventh. It’s his 24th career two-homer game and 12th with five RBI. He’s back up third in the majors with 73 RBI; both he and Eugenio Suárez are two behind Seiya Suzuki and one back of Cal Raleigh.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #47
Frankie Montas notched his first win as a Met after allowing four runs in 5 2/3 innings Saturday against the Yankees.
Montas settled for only two strikeouts today, but he walked none and both homers he gave up were solo shots. That worked out just fine on a day in which the Mets scored four runs in the first and 12 runs overall. Montas is now 1-1 with a 6.14 ERA in three starts since returning from his lat injury. He’ll face the Royals next time out.
  • NYY Starting Pitcher #55
Carlos Rodón surrendered seven runs — six earned — in five innings Saturday in a loss to the Mets.
Rodón didn’t fool many batters today; 12 of the 17 balls in play against him were hit hard, with eight of those checking in at over 104 mph. He gave up a grand slam to Brandon Nimmo in the first and later a two-run homer to Pete Alonso in the fifth. Rodón was 8-3 with a 2.49 ERA through 13 starts, but he’s 1-3 with a 5.34 ERA in his last six outings, five of which have turned into Yankees losses. In fact, the team now has a losing record, at 9-10, in his 19 starts this year. He’ll face the Cubs in his first-half finale.
  • NYM Left Fielder #9
Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-4 with a grand slam Saturday against the Yankees.
He also swiped a base. Nimmo set the tone for this one in the first inning, belting his fourth career slam off left-hander Carlos Rodón. He’s batting .311 with 10 homers, 25 RBI and eight steals in 35 games dating back to May 29.
  • NYM Shortstop #12
Francisco Lindor went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks and four runs scored Saturday against the Yankees.
It’s kind of hard to believe, but it’s the first time Lindor has scored four runs in a game since 2018, when he did it twice for Cleveland. Scoring four runs isn’t a particularly rare feat; it tends to happen once or twice per week. It had been done 33 times this season, including once apiece by fellow Mets players Jesse Winker, Mark Vientos and Brandon Nimmo. Lindor has now scored 57 runs in 88 games this season, putting him on pace to top 100 for the third straight year.
  • NYY Right Fielder #99
Aaron Judge went 0-for-4 with a walk in Saturday’s loss to the Mets.
Judge was able to remain in the game after being hit in the face by a thrown ball from Anthony Volpe that left him with a cut near his eye. It happened after the fifth inning as Judge was coming off the field; he usually does collect a baseball after each inning to throw to a fan, but he obviously didn’t see it coming this time.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #34
Kodai Senga went 3 2/3 innings while giving up four runs — three earned — for Double-A Binghamton in a rehab start.
Senga did get up to 68 pitches, and that’s probably more important than the line. He walked a pair with four strikeouts as he works his way back from the hamstring ailment that has sidelined him since the middle of June. Senga may need one more rehab start, but he should be back shortly after the All-Star break if there’s no setback.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #50
Bryce Miller (elbow) threw off the mound before Saturday’s game against the Pirates.
Miller was able to throw off the mound for the first time since he was placed on the injured list in the early portion of June. The 26-year-old is hoping to be able to progress to a rehab assignment in the coming weeks, and if all goes well, he could be back in the rotation by the end of July. Miller has disappointed in 2025 with injuries and results when on the mound, but the upside is obvious.
