Marlins optioned RHP Luarbert Arias to Triple-A Jacksonville.
The 24-year-old Arias surrendered eight runs in 6 1/3 innings while filling in for Jesús Tinoco in the Marlins pen.

Kyle Manzardo is not in the lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Reds.
Manzardo has started only two of the last seven games for Cleveland. The 24-year-old first baseman has been ice-cold at the plate in recent weeks, hitting .186 (19-for-102) with three homers and one steal over his last 30 games. The numbers have been even scarier over his last seven games as he’s just 3-for-20 during that span. It’ll be Carlos Santana at the cold corner and David Fry at DH on Monday night against Reds veteran lefty Wade Miley.
Harper lands on 10-day IL with wrist inflammation
Eric Samulski details the fantasy implications of Bryce Harper landing on the 10-day IL, and with no timetable for his return, managers in deeper formats could look to take a "gamble" on prospect Otto Kemp.
  • PHI 2nd Baseman #5
Bryson Stott is not in the lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Cubs.
Stott takes a seat for the second time in the last three games in favor of lefty-masher Edmundo Sosa with southpaw Matthew Boyd toeing the rubber for Chicago. The -year-old second baseman has been scuffling in recent weeks, hitting .204 (23-for-113) with two homers and four steals over his last 30 games.
  • BOS Center Fielder #48
Roman Anthony, baseball’s concensus No. 1 prospect, is being called up by the Red Sox.
MassLive’s Chris Cotillo whispered it first, and it was soon confirmed by Worcester reporter Katie Morrison-O’Day, who caught Anthony leaving the ballpark. Anthony isn’t in a rather strange Red Sox lineup tonight; Wilyer Abreu is sitting for a third straight game, this time against a right-hander. It suggests he’s either banged up or maybe in line for a demotion, though that would be surprising. The Red Sox have Ceddanne Rafaela in right field and Kristian Campbell in center tonight. Anthony, who is worth grabbing in all formats, should be available off the bench.
  • BOS Starting Pitcher
Red Sox selected the contract of RHP Brian Van Belle from Triple-A Worcester.
The 28-year-old Van Belle will be making his major league debut five years after going unselected in the short 2020 draft. He had a 2.29 ERA and a 41/7 K/BB in 51 innings over eight starts and four relief appearances for Worcester. The Red Sox will have him available in middle relief tonight, but if he impresses, he could make starts.
  • BOS Relief Pitcher #78
Red Sox designated RHP Robert Stock for assignment.
Stock, called up Saturday, struggled while trying to finish off the Yankees last night, walking three of the six batters he faced and giving up two runs. He’ll likely be going on waivers for the second time this year.
  • CIN Center Fielder #12
Austin Hays believes he’s close to returning from his left foot contusion.
Hays thinks he’ll be back before the end of the current series against the Guardians. Connor Joe could be sent down to make room for him. Will Benson and Spencer Steer might both be in line to lose some playing time.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #21
Hunter Greene has traveled to Los Angeles for a second opinion on his groin and back issues.
This seems like cause for concern. It’is definitely going to be a longer IL stay for Greene this time than when he missed two turns last month for the original groin injury.
  • COL Left Fielder #12
Rockies optioned OF Sean Bouchard to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Mickey Moniak will be activated from the bereavement list on Tuesday, so it’s back to Triple-A for Bouchard. He had one at-bat and grounded out in his two days with the Rockies.
  • CIN 1st Baseman #7
Spencer Steer is on the bench for Monday’s game against the Guardians.
Two days is the longest Terry Francona can go without playing Santiago Espinal, so Espinal is at third and Christian Encarnacion-Strand is at first tonight. Steer still hasn’t gotten hot any point, but he did reach five times and knock in two runs during the three-game series against the Diamondbacks over the weekend. Espinal is 1-for-29 in his last nine games.
  • PHI Relief Pitcher #48
Phillies optioned RHP Daniel Robert to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Robert didn’t get into a game during a two-day stint in the Phillies pen.
