Reds activated LHP Andrew Abbott from the 15-day injured list.
Abbott, 25, will be making the start Saturday against the Pirates on Saturday after missing the beginning of the 2025 season recovering from his shoulder operation in 2024. The southpaw offers some fantasy upside, and is worth a look as a streamer against a not-so-great Pittsburgh lineup.

Blue Jays recalled RHP Robinson Piña from Triple-A Buffalo.
Piña gets the call to join Toronto’s bullpen with veteran Yimi García hitting the injured list with a sprained ankle. The 26-year-old righty, who made one relief appearance earlier this season for the Marlins, was acquired last week in a small trade. He’ll be making his Blue Jays debut when he gets into a game.
Hold Muncy if placed on injured list
Eric Samulski advises fantasy managers to "hold" Max Muncy if placed on the injured list, who has produced in a big way since the beginning of May, and discusses the outlook for Dodgers' call-up Esteury Ruiz.
  • TOR Relief Pitcher #93
Blue Jays placed RHP Yimi García on the 15-day injured list with a left ankle sprain.
García returns to the injured list for the second time this season. No word yet on the severity of the sprain, which will determine how much time he winds up missing. The 34-year-old veteran remains a key component of Toronto’s high-leverage mix behind closer Jeff Hoffman.
  • NYY Starting Pitcher #36
Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters Clarke Schmidt has been diagnosed with a UCL tear and will likely undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery.
It’s a brutal development for the Yankees, and fantasy managers alike, as Schmidt had pitched to a strong 3.32 ERA across 78 2/3 innings (14 starts) this season before hitting the injured list earlier this week with forearm tightness. The 29-year-old’s absence puts some additional strain on New York’s rotation heading towards the trade deadline. Allan Winans and Cam Schlittler are the most likely candidates to fill his rotation spot. Given the timing of the procedure, Schmidt is unlikely to make it back until the late stages of the 2026 season.
  • MIL Right Fielder #20
Brewers sent OF Daz Cameron outright to Triple-A Nashville.
Cameron has the option to elect free agency or stick around with Milwaukee as extra organizational depth after passing through waivers unclaimed. The 28-year-old outfielder got into 21 games this season for the Brewers, hitting .195 (8-for-41) with one homer and one stolen base.
  • NYM Relief Pitcher #35
Mets signed RHP Zach Pop to a one-year contract.
Pop augments New York’s bullpen depth ahead of Saturday’s showdown against the Yankees after struggling in four relief outings earlier this season for the Mariners. He’s made 162 appearances in the big leagues dating back to 2021. The 28-year-old righty represents a reclamation project for the Mets’ pitching development engine at this stage of his career.
  • NYM Relief Pitcher #44
Mets optioned RHP Austin Warren to Triple-A Syracuse.
Warren has been booted from New York’s bullpen to make room for free agent import Zach Pop ahead of Saturday’s game against the Yankees. The 29-year-old righty has looked sharp in three relief outings for the Mets and figures to return at some point in the coming weeks.
  • NYM Relief Pitcher #53
Mets designated RHP Tyler Zuber for assignment.
Zuber made one relief appearance earlier this season for the Mets before being sent back to Triple-A Syracuse. The 30-year-old righty figures to clear waivers and has the ability to elect free agency.
  • NYY Catcher #22
Ben Rice is at DH and batting cleanup on Saturday against the Mets.
Rice gets the nod over veteran Giancarlo Stanton to face Mets righty Frankie Montas on Saturday afternoon at Citi Field. The 26-year-old slugger made his 11th appearance at catcher earlier this week, which gives him eligibility there in some formats, which is a significant boost to his fantasy appeal moving forward.
  • NYY Center Fielder #24
Jasson Domínguez is in left field and batting sixth for Saturday’s Subway Series contest against the Mets.
Trent Grisham is in the leadoff spot on Saturday afternoon, but Domínguez figures to continue getting chances atop New York’s lineup after going 2-for-4 with two homers and a stolen base out of the top spot during Friday’s contest at Citi Field. The 22-year-old former top prospect has legitimately been one of the hottest hitters in baseball recently, hitting .400 (12-for-30) with two homers, six RBI and two steals over his last seven games.
  • ARI Center Fielder #4
Ketel Marte is not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against eh Royals.
It appears to be a routine off day for Marte, who has homered in two of his last three games, and hasn’t had a break since June 22. It’ll be Blaze Alexander taking over at the keystone on Saturday afternoon in his place. The 31-year-old second baseman was named a starter for the National League in the upcoming All-Star Game and will make his third career appearance in the Midsummer Classic.
