Carlos Santana hit a solo homer in a win Wednesday over the White Sox.
Santana has now gone deep twice in 2025, and this one was a solo shot off an ineffective Sean Burke. The 39-year-old has been solid over the first two weeks of the 2025 campaign with a slash of .286/.340/.476. You could do worse for those looking for a corner-infield option.

Ha-Seong Kim will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on Monday.
Kim was signed to a one-year deal by the Rays later this winter, but has not been able to make is debut with Tampa Bay while recovering from offseason shoulder surgery. The 29-year-old has been working in the Florida Complex League, but he’ll likely need at least a handful of games before returning. He’s eligible to come off the 60-day injured list come Tuesday, but expect his activation to come closer to the early parts of June.
Top prospect Clarke to be called up by Athletics
Following the Atheltics' announcement that they are calling up prized outfield Denzel Clarke, James Schiano discusses what the toolsy prospect with "blazing speed" will bring to the pro level.
  • MIN Shortstop #2
Brooks Lee’s third single of the day was a game-winner in the bottom of the ninth as the Twins bested the Royals 5-4 on Saturday.
Lee snuck an 86-mph grounder by Jonathan India at second base to score Carlos Correa, who had walked as a pinch-hitter. Lee came into the day 0-for-10 in his previous three games and with a .208/.235/.325 line for the month of May. He still has some work to do to ensure that he remains in the Twins’ plans if they ever have all of their position players healthy at once.
  • MIN Starting Pitcher #52
Zebby Matthews fanned nine while allowing two runs in four innings Saturday against the Royals.
Three singles and a walk produced the two runs in the third. Matthews allowed just two other hits, both of which were singles, and walked no one else, but the Twins declined to send him back out for the fifth at 81 pitches. His nine strikeouts were a new high for him through 11 big-league starts. Matthews still comes recommended in mixed leagues, even though his first two outings have been a mixed bag. He’ll pitch in Seattle next week.
  • MIN Starting Pitcher #59
Jhoan Duran picked up a win after throwing a scoreless ninth in a tie game against the Royals on Saturday.
Duran loaded the bases with a single, a HBP and a walk before getting Drew Waters to ground out to end the inning. Duran then got the win after the Twins scored in the bottom of the ninth. Duran has three wins in his last five appearances, though one of those came after he blew a save.
  • KC Starting Pitcher #52
Michael Wacha yielded four runs in five-plus innings Saturday in a no-decision versus the Twins.
Wacha pitched four scoreless innings before a three-run fifth that included a Harrison Bader homer. Having thrown just 59 pitches, he was allowed to begin the sixth afterwards, but he immediately gave up a homer to Kody Clemens and was pulled. Wacha ended up allowing seven hits, walking one and striking out one. He’ll pitch against the Tigers next time out.
  • KC Starting Pitcher #41
Daniel Lynch IV took his first loss after walking two of the three batters he faced Saturday versus the Twins.
Lynch was brought into a tie game in the ninth and then replaced after throwing 21 pitches to get one out. Steven Cruz went on to surrender a walkoff single afterwards. With a 1.57 ERA in 23 innings, Lynch has been a very valuable member of the Royals pen to date. However, that the ERA comes with a 12/12 K/BB doesn’t seem to bode very well.
  • KC 1st Baseman #9
Vinnie Pasquantino went 3-for-4 with an RBI double and two runs scored Saturday against the Twins.
Pasquantino’s three hits today checked in at 105.4, 107.2 and 108.7 mph. He had totaled 16 balls in play over 105 mph this season in 51 games this season, so three in one day is really nice. Pasquantino is hitting .323 with five homers over his last 23 games.
  • INT Right Fielder #22
White Sox released OF Oscar Colas.
Colas is a former top prospect who struggled in his limited chances with the White Sox, and he’s forged a slash of just .116/.224/.209 in Triple-A Charlotte this year. At the age of 26, it’s likely someone will give him a chance as organizational depth, but it seems unlikely that he’ll be anything more than that at this stage of his career.
  • LAD Relief Pitcher #64
Dodgers optioned RHP Matt Sauer to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Sauer will head down to Triple-A to make room for Bobby Miller on the roster. The 26-year-old will assuredly be back with the Dodgers as a multi-inning relief option at some point.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #28
Dodgers recalled RHP Bobby Miller from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Miller is up to give the Dodgers a potential multi-inning option after their 13-inning game against the Mets on Saturday. The Dodgers optioned Matt Sauer to make room for Miller on the roster.
