Justin Wrobleski will start on Tuesday against the Nationals.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts strongly hinted, but didn’t officially confirm, that Landon Knack could take the ball on Wednesday against Washington. There’s some streaming appeal here for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues since the Nationals have been a middle-of-the-road offense this season.

Chase Burns allowed four hits and two runs with three walks and a career-high 10 strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Friday.
This is what it was supposed to look like from Burns. A home run by Ryan McMahon was literally the only blemish on his line here. Up until that blast, he’d struck out six batters through three innings with 11 swings-and-misses on his ledger. Then, he walked the lead-off batter in the fourth inning and McMahon socked a hanging curveball – one of only two curves he threw all game – out of the park. After that, Burns retired nine of the last 10 batters he faced. Ryan Ritter was the only one to reach base and it was on a measly infield single. Burns’ fastball was dominant in the zone and he had pinpoint command of his slider on the outer half against right-handed batters. Of course, this was against the Rockies, but it was still nice to see Burns flash his dominance and complete six innings for the first time as a big leaguer as he gears up for a huge second half.

  • NYY Starting Pitcher #55
Carlos Rodón shut the Cubs out over eight innings while scattering four hits, walking one, and striking out eight in a dominant victory on Friday.
This was a masterful start by the newly minted All-Star Rodón. It was his first time completing eight innings as a Yankee and he did so by burying slider after slider on these Cubs hitters. That pitch forced 13 swings-and-misses on its own and looked even more dominant than that at times. Also, teammate Aaron Judge helped him out with two diving catches and a home run robbery of Pete Crow-Armstrong. Rodón will close out the first half with a 3.08 ERA over 119 2/3 innings with 135 strikeouts as one of the more impressive pitchers in the American League.
  • NYY Center Fielder #35
Cody Bellinger went 3-for-5 with three home runs and six RBI in a win over the Cubs on Friday.
In what was a revenge game against the team that traded him away for salary relief this past offseason, Bellinger made the Cubs know what they were missing. He supercharged the Yankees’ offensive attack with three homers in a blowout victory. Funny enough, what would have been a fourth was robbed by Kyle Tucker in the seventh inning. We were that close to witnessing history. Nevertheless, Bellinger will close an incredible first half with an .838 OPS, 18 home runs, and nine stolen bases.
  • CHC Starting Pitcher #77
Chris Flexen allowed three hits and three runs with three walks and two strikeouts across four innings in a loss to the Yankees on Friday.
Flexen, who’d given up just three earned runs over 32 2/3 innings this whole season, matched that total in this start. Two of those three runs came via a Cody Bellinger home run and it felt like Flexen was lucky to only let those three runs in with the constant traffic on base against him and the Yankees’ seven hard-hit balls in total. Hopefully no one trusted the 0.83 ERA he entered this game with enough to trust him in Yankee Stadium.
  • BAL Starting Pitcher #64
Dean Kremer allowed just three hits across seven shutout innings with one walk and seven strikeouts to earn a 5-2 win over the Marlins on Friday.
What a sensational start by Kremer. He had pinpoint command of both his fastball at the top of the zone and splitter below it to decimate the Marlins hitters all game. That splitter accounted for nine of his 12 swings-and-misses and again, he was putting it exactly where he wanted to nearly every time he threw it. While inconsistent, he can always twirl a gem when his command is as good as it was here.
  • BAL 2nd Baseman #11
Jordan Westburg went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and a RBI on Friday against the Marlins.
Westburg has been on fire of late. His first inning single – that he scorched 109.9 mph – helped start a rally off Marlins’ starter Edward Cabrera. He was eventually involved in two other rallies scoring three runs in total and being an engine out of the two-hole for Baltimore. He’s now had multiple hits in three of his last six games and took what was a .657 OPS when he returned from his hamstring injury a month ago up to .807 after this game.
  • MIA 2nd Baseman #6
Otto Lopez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run on Friday against the Orioles.
The Marlins were shutout by Dean Kremer and Yennier Cano until Lopez socked his ninth inning homer against Andrew Kittredge. That was all they’d wind up with, but it was a nice blast by Lopez who already has a career-high 10 homers to go along with 10 stolen bases in what’s been a breakout season relative to his expectations.
  • MIA Starting Pitcher #27
Edward Cabrera was removed from Friday night’s start against the Orioles after four innings due to an apparent injury.
The 27-year-old hurler landed awkwardly after delivering a pitch at the end of the fourth inning and then was seen heading into the tunnel with the training staff, never to return. Look for the Marlins to provide an update on his status as soon as more information becomes available.
  • CLE 1st Baseman #41
Carlos Santana went 1-for-4 and belted a go-ahead two-run homer in the sixth inning on Friday, propelling the Guardians to a 4-2 victory over the White Sox in the first game of their twin bill.
Santana ambushed a first-pitch cutter from Tyler Alexander and crushed it for a 418-foot (109.3 mph EV) two-run shot to center that gave the Guardians a 4-2 lead they would never relinquish. He has had a rough time at the plate in his third tour with the Guardians, slashing .230/.325/.362 with 11 long balls and 40 RBI.
  • CLE 2nd Baseman #1
Angel Martinez belted a solo home run in the second inning on Friday, helping to power the Guardians past the White Sox in the first game of their doubleheader.
Martinez went back-to-back with teammate Daniel Schneemann off of White Sox’ rookie right-hander Shane Smith in the second inning, with his 355-foot blast increasing the Guardians’ lead to 2-0. He also doubled off of Dan Altavilla, finishing the night 2-for-3. On the season, the versatile 23-year-old is now slashing .243/.269/.400 with eight long balls and 32 RBI.
