Miles Mikolas was absolutely annihilated in Sunday night’s loss to the Red Sox, surrendering nine runs (eight earned) on a whopping 11 hits over 2 2/3 innings of work.
Yikes. Mikolas also walked one while recording one strikeout in the contest. After scratching out a run in the first inning, the Red Sox pounced for five in the second, including two-run doubles from both Wilyer Abreu and Alex Bregman. They added another three while chasing him from the game in the third inning. He’ll try to pull himself off the mat and improve upon a miserable 11.25 ERA and 2.00 WHIP when he takes on the Phillies at home on Saturday.
