Luis Campusano went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday’s game for Triple-A El Paso
In his first three games at Triple-A, Campusano has gone 4-for-11 (.364) with one home run, five runs scored, one RBI, two walks, and two strikeouts. The 26-year-old lost the starting catcher job to Elias Diaz in spring training, but can keep the pressure on the veteran by continuing to hit well in Triple-A.

  • PIT Shortstop #85
Chase Ford of MILB Central reports that the Pirates have promoted top prospect Konnor Griffin to High-A Greensboro.
Griffin was the Pirates’ first-round selection (ninth overall) from the 2024 draft class. The 19-year-old made quick work of Low-A Bradenton, slashing .338/.396/.536 with nine homers, 36 RBI, 26 stolen bases and a 53/15 K/BB ratio over 231 plate appearances in his first 50 games. The sky looks to be the ceiling for Griffin.
  • BOS 3rd Baseman #39
Marcelo Mayer is once again riding the pine for Sunday night’s series finale against the Yankees.
The Red Sox played four games against left-handed starters during the week and Mayer found himself on the bench for all four of them. The 22-year-old top prospect is hitting just .229/.289/.371 with one homer, two RBI and a 10/3 K/BB ratio over his first 38 plate appearances with the Red Sox. Abraham Toro will man the hot corner for the Red Sox and bat sixth against left-hander Carlos Rodon on Sunday evening in New York.
  • PIT Designated Hitter #22
Andrew McCutchen went 2-4 for with an eventual game-winning single in a 2-1 win over the Phillies on Sunday.
McCutchen singled off Orion Kerkering in the eighth inning to drive in Oneil Cruz and give the Pirates a 2-1 lead they would not give up. The veteran is hitting .255/.353/.380 on the season with 21 RBI on the season. He’s limited to just NL-only leagues for now.
  • PHI Starting Pitcher #61
Cristopher Sánchez allowed two runs on six hits in seven innings in a loss to the Pirates on Sunday.
The Phillies offense couldn’t muster anything against Paul Skenes, so Sánchez went back out for the eighth inning in a 1-1 game and promptly walked Oneil Cruz to lead off the inning. Cruz then stole second and scored on a single to saddle Sánchez with the loss. The left-hander struck out nine and walked two on the day and now has a 3.10 ERA on the year.
  • DET Right Fielder #30
Kerry Carpenter (hamstring) told reporters after Sunday’s victory over the Cubs that he doesn’t expect to miss any time.
Carpenter was lifted from Sunday’s series finale against the Cubs in the seventh inning for a pinch-runner. The 27-year-old slugger admitted that he’s still fighting through the hamstring tightness that has bothered him lately and he was simply being overly cautious on the basepaths. The Tigers have an off-day on Monday and with left-hander Cade Povich on tap for Tuesday it’s possible that he’ll get an extra day off to rest, but it doesn’t sound like Carpenter should be looking at any sort of extended absence.
  • CWS Relief Pitcher
White Sox signed RHP Dylan Cumming to a minor league contract.
The 26-year-old right-hander was recently released by the Giants after spending three years in their organization. He posted a 4.05 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and a 23/11 K/BB ratio over 20 innings in 14 appearances at Double-A Richmond this season. He’ll add bullpen depth in the upper minors for the White Sox.
