Taj Bradley allowed two runs on five hits in six innings in the Rays’ win over the Rockies on Sunday.
The 24-year-old struck out seven and walked nobody while getting 12 whiffs on the day. Perhaps most importantly, Bradley had a 61 percent strike rate or better on all three of his pitches. He wasn’t quite able to keep the four-seam fastball up in the zone, which has been crucial to his success in the past. That’s something to keep an eye on moving forward, but he was good enough against the Rockies today. He had just a 20 percent whiff rate and 26 percent CSW on the day and we’d like to see a little better in those fields next week against the Rangers.

Brenton Doyle went 3-for-5 with a homer, double and four RBI on Sunday afternoon, propelling the Rockies to a 12-5 victory over the visiting Athletics.
Doyle got the Rockies on the board with a 385-foot (109.5 mph EV) solo shot off of Joey Estes to start the home half of the first inning. He then whacked a two-run double in the second inning that gave the Athletics a 4-2 advantage. Doyle added on an RBI single in the eighth to tack on an insurance run. With his three-hit attack, the dynamic 26-year-old outfielder is now slashing .268/.302/.390 with one homer and five RBI on the season, though he’s still searching for his first stolen base.
  • COL Shortstop #14
Ezequiel Tovar went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles and three RBI on Sunday as the Rockies triumphed over the Athletics.
Tovar singled in the opening inning, swiped second base and then came around to score on a two-out RBI single off the bat of Kris Bryant. He then added an RBI double in the second inning that increased the Rockies’ lead to 5-2. Tovar also doubled in the fourth and scored on an RBI knock by Ryan McMahon. He finished his day with a two-run single in the eighth inning that made it a 10-4 ballgame. With the four-hit effort, the 23-year-old shortstop is now hitting .282/.300/.436 with zero homers, four RBI and one stolen base to open the 2025 campaign.
  • COL Third Baseman #23
Kris Bryant went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI as the Rockies crushed the Athletics on Sunday afternoon at Coors Field.
Bryant plated Ezequiel Tovar with a single in the first inning that tied the game at 2-2. The 33-year-old slugger also smacked a leadoff double in the third inning and scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Tyler Freeman. Even with the two-hit afternoon though, Bryant is slashing a gruesome .174/.240/.217 with only one RBI on the season and remains a useless option in most fantasy formats.
  • COL Relief Pitcher #38
Victor Vodnik picked up his first save of the season on Sunday afternoon, recording the final five outs in a victory over the Athletics.
This one may be a bit misleading though. Vodnik came on to pitch with one out in the eighth inning with the Rockies leading 7-4 and he got through that inning unscathed. The Rockies then tacked on five runs in the top home half of the eighth and Vodnik returned for the ninth to protect that new eight-run advantage. He ultimately allowed one run on two hits and a pair of walks in his 1 2/3 frames. It still seems like it’s a fluid situation in the ninth inning for the Rockies with Seth Halvorsen and Tyler Kinley still in the mix for save chances as well.
  • COL Starting Pitcher #28
Chase Dollander earned a victory over the Athletics in his major league debut on Sunday, allowing four runs on seven hits over his five frames.
The 23-year-old right-hander racked up six strikeouts on the afternoon while allowing only one base on balls. Dollander struggled to keep the ball in the yard on Sunday, as he served up a two-run homer to Tyler Soderstrom in the opening inning and a long solo blast to Lawrence Butler in the fifth. He got 10 swings and misses on 79 pitches on the day — four of those on his fastball which averaged 97.8 mph — while registering a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll look to build off of a strong debut when he takes on the Padres in San Diego on Saturday.
  • ATH Right Fielder #4
Lawrence Butler blasted his first home run of the 2025 season on Sunday afternoon as the Athletics fell to the Rockies in Colorado.
The 24-year-old slugger tagged Rockies’ rookie right-hander Chase Dollander for a mammoth 435-foot (111.0 mph EV) solo shot to center in the fifth inning, pulling the A’s to within three runs at 7-4. He also added an RBI single in the ninth inning, finishing the day 2-for-5. He’s off to a solid start to his 2025 season, slashing .289/.386/.447 with a homer, two RBI and one stolen base through his first 10 ballgames.
  • ATH Starting Pitcher #68
Joey Estes was roughed up in Sunday afternoon’s loss to the Rockies, giving up six runs on six hits over three innings.
Estes also issued a pair of walks while striking out three on the afternoon. Brenton Doyle did the bulk of the damage against him with a solo homer in the opening inning and a two-run double as part of a three-run uprising in the second. The 23-year-old hurler got six swings and misses on 61 pitches, posting an underwhelming CSW of only 18 percent. Estes will try to pick up the pieces and improve upon his cringe-inducing 15.43 ERA and 3.00 WHIP when he takes on the Mets in West Sacramento on Saturday.
  • MIL Right Fielder #11
Jackson Chourio homered twice and drove in five runs to power the Brewers past the Reds 8-2 on Sunday.
Chourio delivered a three-run homer off Sam Moll and a solo shot against Ian Gibaut. He also had a sac fly. It’d been something of a rocky start for the 21-year-old, mostly in the form of his 14 strikeouts in 41 plate appearances. However, his OPS is all of the way up to .880 now, and he has three homers and nine RBI in 10 games.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #39
Chad Patrick pitched 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball Sunday in a victory over the Reds.
Patrick’s first two big-league starts have been big success, and he was rewarded with his first win today. The former Diamondbacks and A’s minor leaguer was added to the Brewers’ 40-man roster over the winter after going 14-1 with a 2.90 ERA in Triple-A last year. He’s a long shot to last as a starting pitcher in the majors, but the Brewers are loving his work as a stopgap. He’ll get the Diamondbacks next.
  • CIN Relief Pitcher #68
Carson Spiers surrendered four runs in 3 1/3 innings Sunday in a loss to the Brewers.
Spiers excelled in his 2025 debut against the Rangers last week, but he was hit hard today and it was mostly line drives. He could be sent down if the Reds opt to activate Andrew Abbott to start next weekend against the Pirates.
