Eduardo Rodriguez was shellacked for 12 hits and nine runs — eight earned — over 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Royals on Friday.
Rodriguez somehow struck out seven, but when the ball was put in play, bad things happened. That’s particularly true when he was facing Vinnie Pasquantino, as Pasquantino homered twice off the southpaw while Mark Canha also added a roundtripper. Rodriguez has been up-and-down for the majority of 2025, and this one definitely goes in the latter pile. His chance to bounce back is scheduled for Wednesday against the Padres.
