Red Sox optioned RHP Hunter Dobbins to Triple-A Worcester.
Dobbins was shipped to minors camp earlier this week and will open the year as extra depth in the upper minors. The 25-year-old righty was added to Boston’s 40-man roster last November.

Alec Bohm is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Cubs.
Bohm has struggled to begin the year even with a two-RBI evening against the Cubs on Monday, and he’ll get a break with Edmundo Sosa getting the start at the hot corner.
Is there larger issue with Crochet's performance?
Eric Samulski discusses Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet's disastrous outing against the Twins and whether fantasy managers should be worried about his performance moving forward.
  • CWS Starting Pitcher #48
White Sox placed RHP Jonathan Cannon on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to April 13, with right hip inflammation.
Cannon exited Sunday’s appearance with hip irritation, and threw just 2-of-14 pitches for strikes before leaving with the injury. The right-hander will likely need more than two weeks off before being able to return to the White Sox staff.
  • CWS Center Fielder #28
White Sox activated OF Everson Pereira off the 10-day injured list.
Pereira missed just over the minimum 10 days with his left ankle sprain. The outfielder should see playing time now that he’s back with the club, but there are better outfield options out there from a fantasy perspective in most leagues.
  • CWS Starting Pitcher #76
White Sox selected the contract of LHP Noah Schultz from Triple-A Charlotte.
Schultz will make his MLB debut in a start against the Rays on Tuesday. The 22-year-old has electric stuff and forged a 19/2 K/BB over 14 innings with Charlotte, but he’s battled command issues in the past. There’s upside because of his swing-and-miss stuff, but fantasy managers have to acknowledge the volatility.
  • WSH Starting Pitcher #36
Miles Mikolas will work behind an opener Tuesday against the Pirates.
Mikolas has been atrocious in his three outings with the Nationals, and Washington will hope that working in bulk will lead to better results. They almost literally can’t get worse. PJ Poulin will open ahead of Mikolas on Tuesday.
  • PHI Relief Pitcher #51
Phillies optioned RHP Seth Johnson to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Johnson was roughed up for five runs — three earned — in his 1 2/3 innings against the Cubs on Monday. He’ll head back to the minors with Chase Shugart up to provide bullpen depth.
  • PHI Relief Pitcher #55
Phillies recalled RHP Chase Shugart from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Shugart gets a chance to make his debut for the Phillies if he gets into the game. He’s a fresh arm with Seth Johnson heading to Triple-A in a corresponding move.
  • BAL Left Fielder #13
Heston Kjerstad (hamstring) has resumed baseball activities.
That’s the good news. The bad news is that manager Craig Albernaz told reporters that Kjerstad remains without a timetable for a return. The 27-year-old outfielder suffered a hamstring strain in spring training, and is looking at a role that doesn’t have fantasy relevance whenever he gets back to Baltimore.
  • BAL Relief Pitcher #39
Andrew Kittredge (shoulder) had his rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk paused due to paternity leave.
Kittredge will be away from the Tides while taking care of something more important than baseball. The 36-year-old has a chance to be back with Baltimore as a high-leverage option by the end of April.
  • BAL Relief Pitcher #45
Keegan Akin (groin) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.
Akin has not been able to pitch in 2026 due to a left groin strain picked up just before the end of spring training. The left-hander will be a key cog in the Baltimore bullpen once healthy.
