Kyren Paris delivered a go-ahead RBI single in the 11th inning, swiped a base and scored a run on Tuesday, helping to lead the Angels to a 9-7 victory over the Cardinals.
The 23-year-old phenom didn’t even start in this one, but still made a major impact off the Angels’ bench. With two outs in the 11th inning he whacked a 1-2 fastball from Chris Roycroft for an RBI single that gave the Angels a 7-6 lead. He then swiped second base and scored on a two-run double by Yoan Moncada. He has been awfully impressive in his limited action thus far, hitting .444 (4-for-9) with a homer, three RBI and three stolen bases. Those in deep leagues should probably start to take notice if they haven’t already done so.
