The 33-year-old hurler also has the potential to earn an additional $30,000 in incentives. Stewart appeared in just 16 games for the Twins before undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery in August, ultimately compiling a 5.17 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and a 208/8 K/BB ratio over 15 2/3 innings. He’s expected to be fully recovered and ready to rock for the start of spring training.

If he isn’t used, Yesavage could very well start either Game 5 of this series or the first game of that next round.

George Springer is DHing for the fourth straight game, Santander had a big misplay on a Cody Bellinger double last night, but he did go 2-for-4 with a double and an intentional walk. The Jays have made a couple of changes today with the Yankees throwing a right-hander for the first time since Saturday, but just the expected ones; they’re playing Nathan Lukes over Davis Schneider in left and Addison Barger over Isiah Kiner-Falefa in the infield.

Bo Bichette has joined the Blue Jays in New York and was spotted jogging in the Yankees outfield on Wednesday.

Bichette had not resumed running as of Tuesday, so this seems like real progress as he returns from a knee sprain. That said, he did still seem to be limping some while walking, according to The Athletic’s Mitch Bannon.

The Nationals have let go of assistant GMs Eddie Longosz and Mark Scialabba, according to The Athletic.

New president of baseball operations Paul Toboni is making his first changes since joining the club. Others have also been told they’re not being brought back. Longosz was the Nationals’ head of player development, while Scialabba was director of player personnel. One person who seems likely to stick around is Mike DeBartolo, who took over as interim GM after Mike Rizzo was fired.

Even though Detroit has hit .165/.246/.233 with 35 strikeouts through three games, there are no changes today. Colt Keith is again batting third and DHing, and Kerry Carpenter, who committed an error on a flyball last night, is in right field and leading off. Wenceel Pérez, who started the final 14 games of the regular season and then all three against the Guardians in the Wild Card series, remains on the bench.
