White Sox signed RHP Justin Dunn to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Dunn didn’t pitch in 2024 after undergoing surgery in 2024 on his right shoulder. The former top prospect will head to Chicago in hopes of winning a spot on the Chicago pitching staff, but more than likely the 29-year-old will just provide some organizational depth.

Willy Adames homered to help the Giants to a 6-2 win over the Dodgers on Friday.
Casparius may get good ratios as Dodgers starter
Eric Samulski analyzes the Dodgers moving Ben Casparius into the starting rotations and what he will bring to fantasy managers in his new role.
  • SF Starting Pitcher #62
Logan Webb fired seven strong innings of two-run baseball to get a win over the Dodgers on Friday.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #18
Yoshinobu Yamamoto struggled in a loss to the Giants on Friday while allowing five runs over 4 2/3 innings.
Yamamoto has struggled in two of his last three starts, with a strong outing against the Cardinals sandwiched between. The 26-year-old gave up a pair of homers, and he threw just 54-of-102 pitches for strikes while issuing five walks. It’s hard to panic too much considering how good Yamamoto has been for the overwhelming majority of his sophomore campaign, but you can’t completely ignore it. He’s scheduled to face the Padres on Wednesday in San Diego.
  • SD Right Fielder #23
Fernando Tatis Jr. went 2-for-3 with a run scored in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Friday.
  • ARI Center Fielder #7
Corbin Carroll went 2-for-4 with a homer in the Diamondbacks’ 5-1 win over the Padres on Friday.
  • ARI Starting Pitcher #19
Ryne Nelson gave up just an unearned run while working five innings to get a wn over the Padres on Friday.
  • SD Relief Pitcher #32
Stephen Kolek was ineffective during Friday’s loss to the Diamondbacks while allowing five runs — four earned — over 4 1/3 innings.
  • ARI 1st Baseman #22
Josh Naylor homered and drove in two runs to help the Diamondbacks to a win Friday over the Padres.
  • LAD Left Fielder #37
Teoscar Hernández homered and walked in a loss Friday to the Giants.
  • MIL Catcher #24
William Contreras drove in a pair of runs in a win over the Cardinals on Friday.
Contreras doubled in a run in the fourth, and he was able to give the Brewers a 2-1 lead in the sixth with a sac fly. It’s been a disappointing season for Contreras even before you consider the lofty expectations, as he’s still slashing just .239/.346/.340. It’s reasonable — if not probable — that Contreras will pick things up over the second half of 2025.
