Caleb Durbin singled, walked twice and swiped three more bags for Salt River of the AFL on Saturday.
Durbin is now 22-for-23 stealing bases in 18 games for the Rafters. He’s also struck out just four times while hitting .265/.393/.456 in 84 plate appearances. The Yankees now will almost surely have to add him to the 40-man later this month if they don’t want him getting picked in the Rule 5 draft.

Lane Thomas went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer in the Guardians’ 11-2 rout of the Reds on Wednesday.
The homer off lefty Joe La Sorsa went just 330 feet, but he hit to the perfect spot down the right field line. It was his first homer in 75 plate appearances this season, and it doubled his RBI total for the year. Thomas probably ought to be limited to starts against lefties for the most part, but given his hot start here since coming off the IL — he also reached three times on Monday before sitting Tuesday — regular playing time is a possibility.
Inside the fantasy impact of Chapman's injury
Eric Samulski unpacks the significance of San Francisco Giants third-baseman Matt Chapman's hand injury that will cause him to miss more than the 10-day IL minimum.
  • CLE Starting Pitcher #26
Logan Allen pitched six innings of two-run ball and struck out six Wednesday against the Reds.
Allen received 11 runs of support today, so solo homers from Elly De La Cruz and TJ Friedl didn’t hurt him much. Since the Guardians typically employ quicker hooks with him in close games, this is just his second quality start. He has three more outings in which he’s come up one out shy of the six-inning standard. Allen is 4-4 with a 4.28 ERA overall, and he’s likely to face the Giants next.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #40
Nick Lodolo lasted just 3 1/3 innings and gave up six runs Wednesday in a loss to the Guardians.
Carlos Santana’s third-inning grand slam did most of the damage. Lodolo struck out six and allowed just two hard-hit balls besides the slam. It’s his shortest outing of the year and just the third time he’s allowed more than three runs. He’ll likely fare better next week against the Twins.
  • CLE 1st Baseman #41
Carlos Santana hit his sixth career grand slam Wednesday against the Reds.
It was his eighth homer of 2025 and first slam since 2022. David Fry’s return has taken a big toll on Kyle Manzardo’s playing time, but it doesn’t seem like it’ll have much effect on Santana, who has started 61 of the Guardians 67 games. He’s batting .251/.350/.388 in 257 plate appearances.
  • DET Right Fielder #30
Kerry Carpenter (hamstring) is back in the lineup for Wednesday’s showdown against the Orioles.
Carpenter will likely be limited to DH-only for the time being as he continues to battle an ongoing hamstring issue. It sounds like the 27-year-old slugger will be able to manage the issue and avoid a trip to the injured list. He’s back in Detroit’s upstart lineup following a brief one-game absence.
  • CLE 3rd Baseman #11
José Ramírez had an RBI double and swiped his 20th bag of the year Wednesday against the Reds.
The double off the wall in left missed being a homer by about a foot. It would have been a homer in 17 ballparks. Still, he got a little closer to a potential 30 HR/30 SB season today. It’s the eighth time he’s stolen 20 bases in a season, and he’s currently on pace to overtake his career high of 41 steals from last season. Most important, his next steal, which will be his 264th, will tie him with Bip Roberts on the all-time list.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #59
Sean Manaea (oblique) will make his next minor league rehab start on Sunday.
New York hasn’t decided where Manaea’s next rehab outing will take place yet, but the 33-year-old lefty looked sharp on Tuesday night, tossing 2 2/3 shutout frames for High-A Brooklyn. He figures to be ready to rejoin New York’s outstanding rotation by the end of June or early July.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #47
Frankie Montas (lat) will make another minor league rehab start on Friday for Triple-A Syracuse.
Montas was lit up for three runs over 3 2/3 innings on Sunday in his latest rehab outing and will presumably need a couple additional tune-up starts before he’s ready to make his Mets debut. The 32-year-old veteran has been out since spring training recovering from a lat strain.
  • CIN Center Fielder #12
Austin Hays (foot) underwent an MRI on Wednesday that didn’t reveal any structural damage.
Hays underwent additional imaging due to persistent pain in his left foot, so it’s an encouraging sign that he isn’t dealing with anything more serious than a deep bone bruise. The 29-year-old outfielder told reporters earlier this week that he was close to returning to Cincinnati’s lineup, but that seems unlikely given this latest development.
  • ATH Shortstop #5
Jacob Wilson is day-to-day with left hamstring tightness.
Athletics manager Mark Kotsay expressed optimism that Wilson will be ready for Friday’s series opener against the Royals. The 23-year-old rookie sensation is on the bench for the second consecutive contest on Wednesday afternoon for precautionary reasons. He’ll benefit from an extra day of rest on Thursday before the A’s kick off a three-game series in Kansas City.
