Alex Vesia will likely be left off the NLCS roster because of his intercostal injury.
Vesia was hurt during Game 5 on Friday. Tony Gonsolin and Brent Honeywell are candidates to replace him on the Dodgers roster. It’s also possible the Dodgers could carry both and drop another reliever.
  • SD Second Baseman #4

Luis Arraez homered and stole a base on Wednesday in a win over the Guardians.
Arraez has gotten back on track in recent days after starting the season 0-for-16. The 27-year-old three-time batting champion crushed his first home run of the season off Guardians reliever Tim Herrin in the seventh inning just a couple frames after picking up his first theft of the year.
  • SD Relief Pitcher #75
Robert Suarez fired a scoreless inning on Wednesday against the Guardians to collect his third save of the season.
  • SD Starting Pitcher #84
Dylan Cease recorded seven strikeouts and allowed one run over 6 1/3 innings on Wednesday in a win over the Guardians.
  • CLE Starting Pitcher #39
Ben Lively allowed four runs over 4 1/3 innings on Wednesday in a loss to the Padres.
  • DET Shortstop #27
Trey Sweeney hit a solo blast in the Tigers’ loss to the Mariners on Wednesday.
Sweeney got the Tigers on the board with a solo homer off Luis Castillo, and that was his first roundtripper of the 2025 campaign. Sweeney is locked into a starting role at shortstop, and the former first-round pick is at least worth keeping an eye on, even if he’s unlikely to contribute enough to justify a roster spot.
  • SEA Center Fielder #10
Victor Robles connected on a two-run double in a win over the Tigers on Wednesday for the Mariners.
Robles drove a ball to the left-center gap with a pair of runners on to give Seattle a 2-0 lead. He’s already doubled three times on the year, but it’s been a shaky start even with the two-baggers as seen in a .214/.233/.321 slash.
  • SEA Shortstop #25
Dylan Moore homered and stole a base to help the Mariners to a win Wednesday over the Tigers.
Moore was also caught stealing, but that was the only negative. The 32-year-old took Tarik Skubal deep the opposite way for his first homer of the season. Thus far, Moore is only starting against southpaws, and that severely limits Moore’s value. Even as a regular, he’s only likely to help in a couple of categories.
  • SEA Relief Pitcher #75
Andres Muñoz protected a one-run lead despite allowing a hit and two walks to pick up a save Wednesday against the Tigers .
Muñoz doesn’t exactly have elite control, and he showed so with just 13-of-25 pitches landing for strikes. He got a big break when what could have been the game-tying single froze Colt Keith, so he only made it to third. He was able to get a pair of strikeouts, and the third save of the season. It’s not always smooth sailing for Muñoz, but to say he mostly gets the job done is an understatement.
  • DET Starting Pitcher #29
Tarik Skubal allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings while falling to 0-2 with a loss to the Mariners on Wednesday.
Skubal was breezing through the first few innings, but a mental gaffe by Colt Keith turned an easy out into runners on first and second in the third inning. Victor Robles followed with a two-run double that should have never happened. He was able to strike out eight, but it’s another disappointing box score for the defending Cy Young winner that sees him fall to 0-2 on the season. Skubal will be back at it against the Yankees on Tuesday. No one should be panicking.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #58
Luis Castillo held the Tigers to two runs over seven innings to help the Mariners to a 3-2 win over the Tigers on Wednesday while picking up the win.
Castillo scattered five hits — one of those a solo homer by Trey Sweeney — and he struck out five while issuing a pair of free passes. His stuff has looked solid over these first two starts, and he’s only allowed two runs in each of those outings. Castillo wasn’t quite the fantasy stalwart he was in 2024 he was the previous few seasons, but the results are usually good when he’s on the mound. He gets the Astros next week.
