Wyatt Langford went 1-for-2 with a run scored, two walks and a stolen base against the Athletics on Thursday.
Langford’s stolen base was his 18th of the season. His numbers on the season aren’t exceptional, but Langford fills the box score. He has 14 home runs to go with the 18 stolen bases. In the future, you’d like to see better than a .253 average and 71 RBI. The Rangers former top prospect turns 23 in November and is an interesting proposition in 2025 drafts.
  • SF Third Baseman #26

Matt Chapman went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI, leading the Giants to a 5-3 win over the Athletics during Tuesday’s Cactus League nightcap.
Chapman’s latest multi-hit effort raises his spring average to a surreal .550 (11-for-20) mark with four homers and one steal. The 31-year-old third baseman is a top-15 option at the hot corner for fantasy purposes this spring.
  • SF Starting Pitcher #35
Justin Verlander struck out four and allowed one run over five innings on Tuesday against the Athletics.
There wasn’t any Statcast data available for Tuesday’s Cactus League nightcap, but Verlander’s fastball was reportedly sitting in the 94-mph range. The 42-year-old future Hall of Famer’s durability concerns aren’t going away, but he stands to benefit from Oracle Park’s pitcher-friendly environment, which figures to make him a relevant fantasy option in deeper mixed leagues.
  • ATH Starting Pitcher #59
Jeffrey Springs yielded three runs over 4 1/3 innings on Tuesday against the Giants.
Springs notched five strikeouts and issued one walk. The 32-year-old lefty has allowed seven runs — four earned — with a 10/6 K/BB ratio across 10 2/3 innings (four starts) this spring in Cactus League outings. He’s a top-75 range starting pitcher for fantasy purposes this spring.
  • ARI First Baseman #22
Josh Naylor went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI and also stole a base on Tuesday, leading the Diamondbacks to a 3-2 win over the Royals in Cactus League action.
Naylor’s latest multi-hit effort raises his spring batting average to an astronomical .483 (14-for-29) mark. The 27-year-old slugging first baseman is unlikely to replicate last year’s career-high 31 homers during his Arizona debut, but he’s a surefire top-10 option at the position for fantasy purposes.
  • ARI Starting Pitcher #29
Merrill Kelly scattered five hits over 3 1/3 scoreless innings on Tuesday against the Royals.
Kelly struck out one and didn’t hand out a free pass. He was followed by Brandon Pfaadt, who limited a Royals lineup that included plenty of big-league regulars to just one run over three frames. The 36-year-old veteran was limited to just 13 starts last year due to a shoulder injury, but he’s fully healthy this spring, which gives him a shot at fantasy relevance in deeper mixed leagues.
  • KC Starting Pitcher #55
Cole Ragans struck out five over four scoreless innings on Tuesday against the Diamondbacks.
Ragans was in midseason form on Tuesday afternoon as he averaged 97.5 mph on his four-seam fastball while generating 12 swinging strikes and finishing with a 28 percent CSW. The 27-year-old southpaw blossomed into an upper-echelon fantasy contributor last year and is a top-10 option at the position this spring.
  • MIL First Baseman #12
Rhys Hoskins walloped his fifth spring homer on Tuesday, lifting the Brewers to a 9-7 victory over the Cubs in Cactus League action.
Hoskins took Cubs lefty Justin Steele deep to left field in the opening frame for a two-run blast. It was one of four homers for the Brewers in this one as Vinny Capra, Jake Bauers and Oliver Dunn also went deep in a high-scoring slugfest.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #93
Jacob Misiorowski was tagged for four runs over 1 2/3 innings on Tuesday against the Cubs.
Misiorowski has the stuff required to dominate in high-leverage spots, but it seems like the Brewers are committed to continuing his development as a starter for now. The hard-throwing 22-year-old top pitching prospect figures to open the year back at Triple-A Nashville, but will be an option for Milwaukee at some point later this season, if everything goes according to plan.
  • CHC Starting Pitcher #35
Justin Steele was torched for seven runs over 3 2/3 innings on Tuesday against the Brewers.
Steele was pounded for 10 hits, including three homers, in his final spring outing. He struck out three and didn’t hand out a free pass. The 29-year-old southpaw will kick off the regular season by square off against Dodgers phenom Roki Sasaki next week in Game 2 of the Tokyo Series.
  • TEX Left Fielder #36
Wyatt Langford finished 3-for-3 with a homer and three RBI in the Rangers’ 13-6 win against the Angels on Tuesday.
Langford figured to get off to a slow start after missing the first couple of weeks with a strained oblique, but he’s instead 5-for-8 with no strikeouts since returning Saturday. Expectations are that he’ll be the Rangers’ everyday No. 3 hitter, increasing the chances that he’ll rate as a top-15 or maybe even top-10 fantasy outfielder in his second big-league season.
