The Rays needed the space on the roster for Richie Palacios, who is being activated off the IL. With the minor league season over, Shenton will head to the spring training complex to get more work in and try to push for a spot on the 2025 roster.

Smith has been an on-base machine in the early portion of the season, and the three-reach day now has his on-base percentage at .619 over six games. Obviously, that’s going to drop, but it’s great to see early success from smith after he wasn’t exactly at his best for most of the 2024 campaign.

Atlanta remains winless on the year, while the Dodgers remain undefeated. Harris II made sure that his team didn’t get shutout, and it’s worth noting his homer came off southpaw Tanner Scott. The outfielder also singled, and his two-hit night was nice to see after he scuffled considerably in the series against the Padres.

Hernández swatted a two-run homer off Grant Holmes in the first inning for his second roundtripper of the year. He also singled and walked, and scored three runs for a nice Monday evening for the 32-year-old outfielder. Hernández should again be a fantasy stalwart, even if his shaky approach can sometimes lead to lulls in production.

Glasnow was on no-hit watch until the fifth inning, and he gave up only two hits in the contest. He did walk three, but he was able to get out of any jams thanks to the strikeout while generating 13 swings and misses against his arsenal. Glasnow will get a chance to face the Phillies on Sunday, and looks like the same hurler he was in 2024 prior to his injury.

Holmes got off to a rough start against the best team in baseball, as he gave up a two-run homer to Teoscar Hernandez in the first inning. He struck out just three with four free passes in a start that wasn’t a disaster, but certainly wouldn’t be qualified as a successful one. The Dodgers are good. Holmes will be worth starting against the Marlins on Sunday, assuming that start takes place.

Welcome back to the majors, Justyn-Henry. Malloy was just recalled from Toledo on Monday, and he got things off to a nice start with a double to begin the game. He also drew a pair of walks for good measure. It’ll be interesting to see how much playing time Malloy gets, and how often he hits at or near the top of the lineup. Long story short, it’s still hard to justify Malloy as a fantasy option.

Raleigh hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth, but it came with the Mariners trailing 9-4. The 28-year-old has scuffled so far to begin the 2025 campaign, but it’s far too early to worry. Raleigh has been one of the most consistent power options behind the plate since becoming a regular in 2023.

Dingler picked up three of the 18 hits the Tigers were able to put up against Emerson Hancock and the not-so-high leverage Seattle relievers. He’s swing the bat extremely well to begin the season — and he does have some prospect pedigree — but fantasy managers still can do better from a fantasy perspective.

Greene took a pitcher on the outer-half out to left field off an ineffective Emerson Hancock — ineffective was an understatement — to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead. The 24-year-old has his first homer of 2025, and is slashing .211/.211/.421 over the first four games. Expect those numbers to improve considerably in the coming weeks, if not days.

Jobe was handed a 6-0 lead after one inning, but the 22-year-old still wasn’t able to work deep enough to get the win. He issued four walks against the patient Mariner lineup, and struck out three in a mediocre — to put it nicely — first MLB start for the top pitching prospect in baseball. Jobe could have some ups and downs, but the 22-year-old is well worth having in fantasy lineups against the White Sox on Sunday.
