Rays recalled LHP Tyler Alexander from Triple-A Durham.
Alexander was just optioned three days ago, but he’s back now with Jeffrey Springs going on the IL, and he could start Monday against the Phillies in Springs’ place. Alexander has a 5.66 ERA in seven starts and 12 relief appearances for the Rays this season.

    Rays released C Logan Driscoll.
Padres put King back on IL, this time for knee
James Schiano discusses San Diego Padres' Michael King, who has been placed back on the Injured List for knee inflammation, explaining why this is a cause for concern.
  • TB 1st Baseman
Rays selected the contract of 1B Bob Seymour from Triple-A Durham.
Seymour officially joins the Rays after hitting 30 homers and forging a .263/.327/.553 slash in Triple-A Durham. The 2021 13th round pick certainly has impressive raw power, but the other tools are a bit of a question mark. Those who need to play catch-up in the homer category may want to take a closer look, but there’s a lot of risk that comes with the reward.
  • MIL Left Fielder #6
Brewers placed OF/INF Isaac Collins on the paternity list.
Collins will be away from the team for three days while taking care of something more important than baseball. The 28-year-old’s roster spot was taken by Steward Berroa.
  • MIL Relief Pitcher #56
Brewers optioned RHP Grant Anderson to Triple-A Nasvhille.
Anderson’s roster spot is being taken by Jacob Misiorowski, with Misiorowski activated off the injured list for a start Friday against the Reds. Anderson will likely be back before the end of 2025 in a role that offers no fantasy upside.
  • MIL Right Fielder #37
Brewers recalled OF Steward Berroa from Triple-A Nashville.
Berroa will have a chance to make his MLB debut if/when he gets into a game. The 26-year-old takes the roster spot of Blake Perkins with Perkins on the bereavement list. Berroa doesn’t profile as more than organizational depth, and fantasy managers shouldn’t add consider a speculative roster addition.
  • MIL 1st Baseman #7
Brewers recalled INF Tyler Black from Triple-A Nashville.
Black is up with Isaac Collins placed on the paternity list. The 25-year-old should get a chance to play over the weekend, but likely heads back to Nashville after the series against the Reds concludes.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #32
Brewers activated RHP Jacob Misiorowski from the 15-day injured list.
Misiorowski is active to make the start Friday against the Reds. The right-hander has been sensational and can miss bats with the best of them, but keep in mind this likely will be a shorter outing since Misiorowski didn’t complete a rehab assignment.
  • ATL Catcher #9
Braves sent C Sandy León outright to Triple-A Gwinnett.
León is now off the active and 40-man roster. The 36-year-old could be back before the end of 2025 as a depth piece, but he’ll need to rejoin the 40-man roster in order for that to take place.
  • ATL Right Fielder #13
Braves activated OF Ronald Acuña Jr. off the 10-day injured list.
Acuña missed almost exactly two weeks with his right calf strain, which was initially diagnosed as an Achilles injury. The 27-year-old offers enormous fantasy upside, but it’s fair to wonder if Atlanta will take more precautions with the outfielder with the team not in playoff contention. Still, fantasy managers should be thrilled to see him back.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #32
Jacob Misiorowski (shin) is starting Friday’s game against the Reds.
Well, there ya go. Misiorowski will make his return after being placed on the injured list with a tibia bruise near the start of August. The flame-throwing right-hander isn’t likely to work deep enough into the start to qualify for a decision, but he can obviously help fantasy managers with his ability to miss bats and limit the self-inflicted damage.
